  1. I am assuming that you have been attending the games. It is very apparent what the game plan has been from our competition to date...3 step drops. NO ONE has much success against that. Usually the only sacks that come from that is due to great coverage. The reason teams run that against us is that they respect us up front; they need to get the ball out quickly. On Saturday Auggie is going to pass 80% of the time, especially when they get behind.
  2. Let's say that the defense gets healthy and still gives up a few more yards/points than we have gotten used to the last several years...who has the defense to stop this offense??? This TEAM has the opportunity to do some special things. I would say that not too long ago a number of you complained about the anemic offense and were critical of the playcalling of Mussman. Sure seems to be out of mind now. This is a dynamic offensive unit. Certainly is fun to watch and must be a living hell to try to contain. The defense had to carry this team alot in the past. Maybe now it is the offense's turn. Don't kid yourself, this defense has a lot of talent and pride. Keep in mind there are 3 seniors on it. They are young! Give them time. GET OUT TO THE GAME, SUPPORT THE TEAM, STAY FOR THE ENTIRE GAME AND PARTY LIKE A ROCK STAR AFTER IT IS OVER!!!! GO SIOUX!!!
  3. He is correct. It is Rhett Bomar.
  4. Because I suspect that is when the petty pissing match began between the Administration and the fans. It spun out of control from there. Everyone needs to get over themselves. The athletes and fans are the ones who got cheated here. The Junior High BS gets old with the adults. If they were your children, they would have had a timeout or a swat by now! Everyone needs to put their hurt feelings aside and start acting like they have a brain in their heads. We both have much to be proud of with the respective athletic departments and institutions. Lets not forget what is important here. We seem to propogate our petty attitudes in an increasingly petty society. Sad!
  5. While I am sure there was plenty of BS going on between the two Athletic Departments; why is it so difficult for some Bison fans to remember that the reason UND chose not to play NDSU at the beginning of your transition was that the NCAA's rules at that time would have hurt UND's chances of getting into the playoffs, win or lose. Since that time those rules have changed. Do you really think UND ducked that game given the dominance they had over NDSU at that time Once everyone is on the same level playing field, it will great to renew this game.
  6. Where did you get this pictoral of an NDSU cheerleader?
  7. I don't have the time to go back and look at your posts Bison Dan, and if I am wrong I apologize but I'll bet that last season you and others like you came on this board and said we would not have a chance against UNI. After the game, I'll bet you had a hundred excuses about how UNI was down and overlooked us blah, blah, blah. I realize that it is what drives many of the topics on here but I get real tired of the my "Richard" is bigger than yours when it comes to comparisons between UND and NDSU. Every year each team is different in a number of ways. Face it. These two teams will not play each other for awhile and that is just fine. Meanwhile, we can all play the imaginary game largely played out on this board by a bunch of football wannabes who probably never stepped foot on a football field at this level. There are a number of people that stir the pot and never have to go to battle...would probably crap themselves. Both teams are good and since they are not on the schedule, we will never know.
  8. I think it makes alot of sense...however, my opinion of such a powerful conference is that ultimately not many of the parties will want to join it from the standpoint that only one of these great programs may make it into the playoffs each season. You could have 3 or 4 schools ranked in the top 20, possibly a couple in the top 5-10 and only get 1 into the playoff hunt.
  9. Old saying still holds true, "You have to beat the best to be the best!" If UND is going to be #1, which I think they are capable of, they need to concentrate on the season schedule and handle the playoff card as it is dealt. Obviously home field would be a factor. Both teams would love the challenge no matter who hosts the game. GVSU and UND have a lot of respect for one another. There also happens to be several other teams that are capable of winning out. This is not just a two horse race. Go Sioux!
  10. I too am very excited about the season. If the offense can produce anywhere close to their potential, it will take a lot of pressure off a relatively young defense. I think it is a mistake however to sell this defense short. There are a lot of talented players waiting to get an opportunity. They just kind of reload every year. Furthermore, if the offense puts up some early scores, the defense is going to have a chance to pin their ears back and look for sacks. The front seven loves it when the D-coordinators tell them to get after it. The expectations are high, as usual. Should be a great year! Go Sioux! Get out and support this team.
  11. Does anyone know for sure how the roster works? By that I mean, it would seem that this is not the official roster for 2007 since it is possible that some of the expected players may not report on the 2nd. Correct? I have not heard anything about a transfer receiver but if he did not attend summer workouts, he may report tomorrow.
  12. Please note that the depth chart info. is from last season. The battle for positions begins on August 2nd!!
  13. Yes, a young man from Wisconsin that was playing in California. Don't know the name for sure.
  14. Players report on August 2nd. The only player I am aware of that is not returning is Jordan Armentraut. He transferred to Wisc. Lacrosse. Talked to some of the players and they don't know of a receiver transfer. There was a Juco linebacker transfer. Don't know the name.
  15. The word at the Spring game was that they scrapped plans to have new uniforms for the upcoming season. The designs that they were considering were too busy. I have not heard anything since.
  16. He is back in Bismarck, from what I've been told. He did not maintain his academic requirements.
  17. I'm told that there are 60 plus that stayed for workouts!
  18. Walrus, I am the Father of a player and am truly saddened by the very real possibility that Dale may be moving on. I hope he further commits himself to the future of Sioux football which can meet and exceed anything at MSU if the supposed problems in the Athletic Dept. are addressed. I have two more sons coming that I can only hope have the opportunity to mature into young men with the helping hand of Coach Lennon. I can tell you that, as a parent, it was comforting knowing our first son would be a part of his program. I do want what is best for Coach, but selfishly hope his pride in the past, present and future of the Sioux program wins out. He means so much to so many. Sometimes money doesn't matter.
  19. Which season is this prediction for???
  20. In my opinion, Moss performs and is a reasonably good citizen when he is on a team that is having a good year. When they are struggling, he engages his big mouth and antics. He will have a very productive season at NE if he stays healthy. If you look at the draft and free agent moves that NE made, they will certainly be favored to win it all. Which by the way pains me.
  21. I talked to several players about the new uniforms. They are back on the drawing board as the first designs were thought to be too busy. Will be looking forward to seeing them.
  22. Ryan will be a Soph. in school this fall. He decided to walk on.
  23. Adam Ward is trying to mend a bad back and is welcome to return. Dylan Glaser apparently forgot that he also needed to be a student which resulted in very poor grades.
