  1. I read the game thread on KFan Rube Chat and even the MN fans were calling that a BS call. Given the time of the game, you could even question a boarding call, but a 5 minute major and a game DQ.... Who is that Thul guy? Name is not familiar to me....
  2. Wahlin won't choose UND because of the post season restrictions with the DI transfer. She'll be playing in the Big Ten next year.
  3. INCH and USCHO are too similar...they don't update on a regular basis. That's why Brad's blog and WesternCollegeHockey are nice to have. You can log on daily and read new hockey news. ...and you can't go wrong with Vandy.
  4. Are there no points given if your D gives up 4 goals?
  5. AZ Sioux runs a great fantasy league. It's a lot of fun. The only suggestion I'd have is the way the goalie scoring goes. If memory serves me correctly, a gaolie giving up 1 goal only earned 1 point more than a goalie giving up 4 goals. He puts a lot of work into it and it is a lot of fun. It really keeps you in tune to who's doing what in the WCHA.
  6. I can still remember at Memorial stadium when Mike Mooney stripped the ball and took it to the house....Man, that was fun.
  7. I have not been to a womens game, but does Jenny Porter work as hard as Chris?
  8. Speaking of spelling, "If you need me to spell it out 'simplier' I will, but I think an adult should be able to comprehend that. ....and "deision" as you put it are a couple of words you missed on. Now, away from hooked on phonics and back to the discussion. From coast to coast, there are deficient bridges across america. Do you actually think the reason for that is because all states lack qualified DOT members. Maybe if the proper funding was there, we'd have the appropriate people evaluating damage and they wouldn't have to push construction projects back until the year 2020. Please, splell it ouuut four me one moor timmme.
  9. $2.5 billion on my prior comment should be $2.5 million....sorry about that.
  10. This has everything to do with the war. We have pumped $600 billion into that war. Where does that money come from??? It comes from cutting in other areas. CNN reported today that MN needs $9 million per year to adequately fund their road and bridge repairs, but we are spending $2.5 billion. There's a reason why we are $6.5 million short, if indeed the figures from CNN are accurate. In addition, schools across America continue to cut teachers, programs, and classes. Cost goes beyond money, it extends into loss of education and services such as proper roadways.
  11. You're comparing apples to oranges. That baseball stadium will bring revenue back into Hennipen County and the State of MN, and is an entertainment venue that people have deemed important to the MPLS ecomony. Funding bridges and road costs is a fundamental gov't budget issue. We pay taxes to cover these costs. If we have a surplus, we obviously have extra money to go towards these costs. Education is no different. We are cutting education funds and programs left and right. This is a budget shortfall, plain and simple. Maybe we should worry about the infrastructure of America before we dump all the money on the infrastructure of Iraq.
  12. I flew out to Vegas last summer and as I got on the plane the pilot recognized I was wearing a Sioux shirt and explained he was a UND grad. We chatted a bit as people walked in. As we were getting into Vegas he came on the microphone and announced landing time, temperature, etc. and before he hung up the microphone he said "Go Sioux." To make the story even better, I was on a blackjack table at the Golden Nugget and had been tippin' back on Grandpa's cough medicine for majority of the day and for some reason decided it was necessary to stand up and say "Sioux, yeah, yeah" and immediately somebody sitting at a table a little ways away stood up and hollered "Yeah, Sioux, Sioux." It turned out he was from Florida, but had went to UND and still followed the Sioux closely....Pretty crazy but a lot of fun!
  13. What's concerning in all of this is Gov. Pawlenty boasts of a surplus in MN. We have a surplus and then something like this happens because we did not invest the money and address the problem. I'm not blaming him, but I have a feeling things are going to get awfully ugly in the state of MN within the near future because MNDOT has been underfunded for quite some time.
  14. 1. G. Johnson, T. Hrkac, Jeff Panzer J. Patrick and C. Ludwig Goerhing D. Blais ------------ 2. J. Blake, Z. Parise, B. Joyce T. Roche, C. Murphy Casey G. Gasparini ------------ 3. M. Taylor, TJ Oshie, J. Toews Kidd, Parent JPar D. Hakstol ----------------- and then the enforcers... M. Prpich, L. Wilson, D. Dachyshyn Commie, Archibald Eddie the Eagle Coaching this line would be Eades
  15. I would go with Ralph Engelstad, Gene Roebuck, Ed Belfour, and Dale Lennon. Engelstad's contributions towards hockey have brought financial stability to UND and Grand Forks that couldn't be matched by anyone else. Belfour is the most notable hockey player to succeed at the NHL level. Roebuck is a genious when it comes to recruiting and coaching, and his 3 peat is proof. Lennon won the only football title at UND, is ND born, a UND alumni, and is about the most honest guy you could find.
  16. The original 3 players sat and fed the girl shots all night....meanwhile, they didn't take a shot themselves. Why do you think they challenged that girl to drink that many? Hmmmm, I wonder if they just wanted to see her get drunk?? This was all planned. The guy that was most recently charged is a step brother to one of the original three that had sex with her earlier in the evening. How sick is that? Do you really want these type of people getting a free education at your university while other hard working students pay via loans. Guilty in a court of law determines jail time, but a university has the right to determine who is worthy of receiving services at their institution.
  17. That's true.....We should have given him a mulligan on the St. Cloud St. decision.
  18. You won't find a more grounded kid than Matt Cullen. When he brought the Stanley Cup back to Moorhead last year, he brought it to the Youth Hockey Arena and took a picture with every youth hockey member that showed up, and he signed numberous autographs throughout the weekend to make sure everyone got one. Even though Blake attends a lot of his functions, they're two completely different people in terms of attitude and personality.
  19. Have the logo tatooed on your buttocks and have them write, "Hostile and Abusive my ass!"
  20. Anybody who pays $10 to go to lawn mower should understand they are wasting $10 before they walk in the door......seriously.......
  21. Speaking of DeBus, it's too bad they couldn't bring him back Maybe they can bring Briggs back too.
  22. As long as Lou is in charge, Sutter won't have much of a say in who they draft.....he's just another soldier in the army.
  23. Maybe the Blackhawks borrowed Frazee for a day so Toews could give a replay of the World Juniors...
  24. I agree Redwing....he's a first round pick, a minnesota mr. hockey, a 3 time world junior participant, and he was awarded a good contract, but yet to a lot of people he is no good or his time at UND was pointless. No matter how many people wanted him to be the physical player that Commie, Greene, or Smaby were, that's just not his style of play....good luck to Lapointe as he is probably the new whipping boy.
