  1. Not sure about records, but this was the worst second half of the year in terms of score differential (-28). Previous worst was (-26) vs. Utah.
  2. Ugh. From up 6 to down 13 in the first 10 minutes of the second half.
  3. It seems to me that Oliveira can probably do everything Norberg can do in terms of physical running, and he also adds more elusiveness and probably more speed.

    gas prices

I'm curious as to why aside from Sam's Club and the Flying J truck stop generally being a few cents less, there is never any variance in Grand Forks for gas, but there can be as much as 47 cents per gallon difference between stations, at least as of yesterday, for diesel? Why wouldn't the "agreement" on a set price for gas, which circumstantial evidence strongly suggests has existed for years in GF, extend to diesel, as well?
  5. Here's the list of known visits for this weekend: http://siouxfb.areavoices.com/2015/01/23/official-visit-weekend-1-24-15/#comments
  6. UND 2-1 on the road, 0-3 at home in the Big Sky. Not exactly what anybody would have predicted so far.
  7. Szabla was really impressive in the second half. It would be nice if UND had more bench production (only 4 points tonight), but the starting five is very solid, first half shooting struggles notwithstanding.
  8. Turnovers and wildly inconsistent 3-point shooting have been the primary weaknesses of this program for years. Even when there have been good 3-point shooters, more often than not they've been forwards (Moen, Boese, Youngblut, Buck, etc.). Recruiting guards who are well-rounded players who can hit the 3 fairly consistently has proven challenging ever since the Pudenz sisters graduated.
  9. Same high school as ex-UND player Mike Edwards.
  10. Per SFI, Wyoming recently offered Momoh.
  11. SFI is saying Georges will be a junior, so he may only have two years left.
  12. I really think Knauf got everything out of the 2014 line that was humanly possible. I am looking forward to seeing what he can do with better talent and more experience with which to work.
  13. I'm not really qualified to judge the play of individual offensive linemen, but considering Boas started all 12 games this season, I was thinking it might be more likely that Francis slides over to Henson's guard spot for one year, and Boas starts again at center.
  14. I'm starting to wonder if there are going to be any commitments from Wisconsin this year?
  15. No Boas?
  16. Maybe not the best indicator, but I don't think he has any UND coaches following him on twitter.
  17. Is there any info out there to suggest that there is still mutual interest between UND and Anderson?
  18. I would like to see more of the Shanks-Nash-Coleman-Tyler-Hooker lineup. I also think Shields should get more minutes.
  19. Tyus Carter has also committed to UND, per SFI.
  20. That would be my guess.
  21. The kid from Princeton is named Tanner Palmborg, and it sounds like he just committed to UND.
  22. Looks like Tibesar will be OLB coach for the Badgers. Good for him.
  23. It will be interesting to see whether the last two games of 2014 were flukes, or whether they were a sign of things to come for Blackmon. He had a nice return of a field goal block, a fumble recovery and a pick after playing very little for most of the season.
  24. I don't necessarily look for huge things from him next year, but he is a good athlete and obviously has very good bloodlines. The thing is, if he is not the answer at the 4, I have no idea who else can possibly fit that bill? And therein lies the problem. Unless a scholarship opens up AND the staff can find a legit rebounder at the 4 spot, it seems all the eggs are pretty much in the Bernstine basket.
  25. Here's an article on Bernstine from when he was a senior in high school two years ago: http://www.denverpost.com/ci_22351784/cherokee-trail-basketball-star-roderick-bernstine-son-former He was apparently listed at 6'6" in high school. I wonder if he really has grown another inch or two? His dad played in the NFL at between 235 and 240 pounds, so hopefully he can fill out to a similar extent in the coming years.
