I'm bummed, too. I could have been at the game, but I decided against it! Because of the MN state HS tourney, I can't watch it on TV and now I can't even listen to it on GF radio, just this crappy and staticy Mankato station

The hits he puts on are awesome highlight stuff, at least I think so. He just clobbers people cleanly and efficiently!

Maybe they don't move to AA because of the lack of AA teams in the area? I guess it doesn't stop Roseau too much, but Section 8 in AA is an awfully big area. Also, I figured Roseau made the jump because they were tired of losing to Warroad in the playoffs...

This sucks, but Kozek looked like he did a good job on the checking line! He did knock down that ogre MT has for a D-man. Stick Marvin in on the Watkins line now...

I've been impressed with him, too! He's got talent, for sure, and will develop even more! I really liked that hit he put on Scott from MT and then turned around and scored a goal! That is one big guy to be knocking down!

I've been thinking they should have been doing that all year long with him and Finley! Those guys are huge! Who is going to be able to move them? They would take up the attention possibly two defenders since he can't be easily moved and he is sure going to make it hard for the goalie to see the puck!

You cannot kick out Mankato, it clashes with the NCC theme in the WCHA. I could stand seeing MTech and AA go, but that really doesn't do much good for college hockey. MT takes the McNaughton Cup if they go and while the trip to AA is not convenient, is it better to lose another college team in D1 hockey? Why not make the WCHA a twelve team conference? How would that affect scheduling? I would love it if BSU joined the WCHA as that would be a road game that I could easily drive to and UNO is a traditional NCC rival for UND. They make a good fit because of the rivalries against all of the NCC teams in the WCHA. Get well Robbie!!! He is one of my favorite players on the team! He is not a big flashy player, but we works very hard! He does what is asked of him the best he can and despite not being over 6' tall, he hits like he is! He is also a local boy and I find myself cheering for the GFs boys, too. It will be very sad if he can never play hockey again. It is a shame to hockey players and fans that the situation has been handled the way it was! Cheap hits do not belong in hockey, but if players can get away with it with only a slap on the wrist, it will not stop it from happening again...

Why does the REA not have a parking ramp? Because it costs millions of dollars to build them! UND is working on building parking ramps and they will likely build two in the parking lots by Memorial Stadium, one on each side of Columbia Road, with a walkway connecting the two. They are still in the begining phases of it, though. It would be nice to have a ramp at the REA, especially when the temp drops below 0. But one can always ride a bus from various locations and be dropped off at the main entrance...

Of the home conference games, the one that I am looking forward to the most is the Duluth game. I think that a rivalry will get more intense between our schools now, especially since two of UMDs head coaches came from UND...

UND's program speaks for itself and does not need much advertising unlike 'SU which needs to run radio adds on GF radio to try to get fans to their big D1 debut...

Maybe if UNO was in the WCHA, they could do something like give a trophy to the team that had the best record out of the five. But UNO is not in the WCHA, so that is not going to happen. In my opinion this is kinda of a bad idea; UND plays most of those teams enough during the year. I would rather see teams that I probably would not see otherwise. Sure, they might not be the best teams, but maybe in the future, we can get some of the more established schools to come out. They also should find a better and cooler name then the Subway Holiday classic! That name is so stupid, but I guess it fits in the trend with coporate sponsorhsip for everything nowadays, all the bowl games have them. A cooler name is definitely needed!
