I almost did just reading that! Hilarious! I probably won't be able to make it this year since I'm flying in and won't have a car, and will be trying to cram visits in with college friends and my brother between games!

<--- I love kissing Wookies! I don't think wearing the Holy Cross jerseys is any different than Gopher fans calling REA the "Mariucci West" for the first few years (still?). It's just fans taking jabs at a highly competitive team...creates a good rivalry. Hell, there's only so many times you can say 7>5 before it gets old. I just enjoy giving Gopher fans as much sh*t as they give me, and look forward to the taunts it will incite on Friday. Even better if it's followed up by a brew. What fun is a rivalry if you can't throw each others' team's mistakes/failures back in each others' faces? And like Sioux-cia, I fully plan on wearing my Sioux jersey to the Sioux game on Friday afternoon and making a jersey change before the Gopher game that evening. I NEVER attend a Sioux game without my Sioux jersey. Hell, I wore it to every DU game this season just to ensure that nobody mistook me for a Pioneer fan. To the Sioux fans who don't give a damn what other people think you should wear, let's plan to meet in the arena before the game. It's supposed to be freezing this weekend (it was 70 degrees in Denver today!), and this way we won't have to grit our teeth in the picture. 6:00? 6:30? Let's just meet at the top of section 119 since a majority of you will already be there, unless anyone has a better idea.

This is great. This is exactly why I want to wear my HC jersey, because it obviously gets under your skin. It's too easy. Besides, I'd like a little Gopher blood mixed in with the Gopher tears on my jersey. Sioux-cia, where is the Herb statue? Sounds good to me.

Anyone know the answer to this? I have 6 regional tickets in Denver this year and would obviously love it if the Sioux were in this regional.

Ha! It would have been painful, but I had Saturday night season tickets to DU games this year. Paid off somewhat since, as a season ticket holder, I was able to secure 2 lower bowl tickets for the Frozen Four in Denver next year. Well it sounds like the Friday night Gopher game is definitely the game to set up a picture with Sioux fans in their Holy Cross gear. Probably between periods. Anyone have a preference as to where this should take place?

Yep, I finally decided to come even though my buddies aren't able to make it to the games anymore. So I bought a single ticket package and will be looking to meet up with many familiar faces between periods and games. I believe I'm in section 113, but I'm not sure. I'm picking my tickets up at will call. Anyway, I figured I might wear my Holy Cross jersey for just the Friday night Gopher game. Haven't had a chance to enjoy it yet since the Gophers didn't come to Denver to play DU this year.

Forgive me if this has already been done this season, I've been semi out of touch now that I live in Pioneer land. But the lady who hooked us up with Holy Cross jerseys from the athletic dept. last season had mentioned that she would love to see a picture of all the Sioux fans wearing their Holy Cross jerseys. And frankly so would I. Are people planning to wear their jerseys to the Gopher game on Friday at the Final Five? And if so, would people be interested in meeting up for a picture?

Yes, well now I am retired and come back every now and then to watch my former team play. People always ask me, "Forecheck, does this mean you want to come back and coach the team again?" My old friend Dean goes through the same thing, and I just tell him to stay strong and remind the fans that Hakstol is doing a fine job. We've had our day in the sun.

Well you'll probably need an extra set of muscle to collect fees! BTW, WPoS was a great coach! I'd play beerdarts with him anyday!

Who else is going to the games? Would anyone be interested in meeting up before one or both of the games for drinks? There's a bar about 2 blocks from the arena that would be easy to find and stumble over to the game from.

Yep. I liked Hakstol's response when TH said something about how there will be some lineup changes with Vandevelde getting a 5 min. and Toews possibly being injured. Hakstol just laughed and said, "Well there will be lineup changes regardless. Obviously we need to get some of that hunger back."

Hrkac couldn't seem to spit out what he wanted to say, and Bernstrom talks too fast and giggles nervously at everything he says. Really I think a lot of it is just that Bernstrom annoys me.

Ugh, why in the world would they tarnish Tim Hennesey's broadcast with John Bernstrom's annoying voice?? Did anyone else hear that girlish giggle in response to TH's comment? What happened to Greg Lotus? Ugh, I must be behind the times. I'm not happy about the new color guy.

I tried that and it still ended up opening in Media Player, so now I lost the video feed. That's what I get for being greedy I guess.

A guy at the DU game last night (yes, I bought DU season tickets so I can watch WCHA hockey) asked me how I liked going to UND and asked if it was a hockey school (duh). His son wants to go to a hockey school someday. I swear I should get some commission from UND if I'm going to be recruiting 10 year olds at hockey games. On a side note, I was surprised at how many Sioux fans I ran into at the game last night....of course I was the only one brave enough to wear my Sioux colors. One guy even had his 3 kids wearing DU jerseys. I was horrified.

That sounds a little better to me. If I were to be in on this, I'd have to fly in from Denver and would rather come back for a more exciting game than Manitoba.

It was fun! I haven't found anything else out about getting replica or authentic jerseys though, so if there were people still interested in those maybe they could pursue that further? I know we've talked about how cool it would be to get a picture of everyone in these jerseys together. Jen actually just emailed me today saying the same thing. "What you need to do, if possible, is take a picture next season of you wearing them at a game in that beautiful arena so I can show my team, for they will get a huge kick out of it!" Would be cool if we could find a weekend that works for everybody!
