Now I see Brad's blog post. Must have been one heck of a party to bring forth those kinds of punishments.

This would just be for the Manitoba exhibition, right? Good to know Hak isn't letting anything slip by, though.

I know the game isn't going well, but it takes a lot of beer to get typing to be this bad.
-
So even in the game thread I have to read the UND/NDSU bickering?

Apparently the comedy is played in place of regular commercial advertisements.

Will there be a webcast of this game? I don't recall seeing anything earlier in the week.

It's working for me. Quality isn't the best, but at least it's on. -
Officially listed as the 3rd line, LW with Nelson and Parks. http://collegehockeystats.net/1112/boxes/mminndk1.n05

That's interesting to hear about the pool at the Wellness Center. I hadn't heard that before. Thanks.

I love the look of that plan (either horseshoe or retractable roof) but I'm curious.... Maybe I'll get lambasted for this, but why isn't in the master plan to get rid of the Hyslop and build a better swimming facility? With the new IPF is there any need for the Hyslop anymore? The only thing I can think that would still be in there would be aquatics and racquetball. I still don't know why they didn't put racquetball courts in the new wellness center (unless they eventually did, it was built after I left). A really nice new facility could be built on the land where the Hyslop sits that would have a great swimming/diving center, and other athletic features as part of the whole athletic area in that corner of campus.

Remember how excited the administration got about the Spirit campaign, everybody got together for the "big announcment" at the Chester Fritz Auditorium, then absolutely everybody was let down because the announcement was "we have some money, but we need more"? Hopefully this isn't a replay of that.

Tailgating should be free. They can charge for food, but it shouldn't cost money to show up and wander around the tailgating area. In fact, the whole parking lot should be a tailgating area that people can wander around.

That whole internet thing is just a passing fad, anyway.

If you're "thinking" about it, sure. If you're absolutely sure you're leaving in a few years you probably don't. How long is this turf expected to last? The last stuff was only 10 years. I think even the best case scenarios for rebuilding Memorial Stadium and moving back there would be at least 10 years out, making the money spent on the new turf worth it.

Gotta go to Joe Sensors, southwest corner of 494 and France. Fuddruckers is on the northeast corner.

Free To Air simply means it's not encrypted. It's flying through the air and all you need is a dish to pick up the signal. And yea, they are only has big as a DirecTV dish now.
-
A discounted ticket, a big screen projector (presumably) and the ability to go tailgating? I'm sure there'd be a good crowd that would take part in something like that.

So who gets to wear number 9? Koivu or Parise?

Only if you have the time zone set incorrectly in your profile settings. Upper right corner, click on your name and choose My Settings.

Have we read for sure there isn't going to be a center field logo? Couldn't it go on after the fact, similar to how it's done at the Metrodome? They have artificial turf (maybe the same stuff the Alerus Center is getting) and they're able to apply logos and remove them to put on new logos whenever they want.
-
They should be able to encrypt the raw feed without any new hardware. I don't work in TV (nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night) but I don't see why it would take any more than that to keep people from snatching the signal out of the air to watch it for free.

Because this was the question that was posed:
-
Do you mean Brookings and Vermillion?

Just so it's clear to everybody, Fox College Sports is not a DirecTV-specific channel. It's a regular cable network. Comcast picked up all three of them (Atlantic, Central and Pacific) as full time channels. DirecTV picks up random bits of any of them. There have been times when games are on FCS, but DirecTV decides, for one reason or another, to not pick up a certain game.
