  1. We are the Ohio State Buckeyes of College Hockey....
  2. Every once in a while you can find them on Jacksons down off of Belleview. But it is really infrequent. Few times a year maybe.
  3. We were in Section 224 (this is his son that was in the green hoodie).
  4. dumb question, but where do I find a link for audio/video? thanks
  5. Lots of UND people in Colorado. I was at Red Rocks last fall for a concert, and there was one person sitting on the steps so I broke into a conversation with him. He played football for the Sioux in the late 70's. His whole entourage was North Dakota/UND people. There were about 5 people in the front row wearing Sioux gear too It was fun. There are UND all over the place in Denver. Always have big turn outs to DU and CC games. Hell, I know 10 guys from my fraternity that live out here, and I spent only two years at UND
  6. "Nana Plaza, Bangkok, '03." HAHAHHAHHAHAAAHHAA..... Somebody was 'lonely' Actually, three weeks ago I ran into a guy with a UND t-shirt on at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok as well....
  7. It was a decent sized gathering, but it was planned by the alumni. I guess I should say it was decent sized for a Thursday afternoon game. Since there has been nothing planned this year, it seems like every man for themselves, which is kinda lame
  8. In Denver as well. Last year there was an official gathering at LoDo's. Any info for this year would be great
  9. Having grown up right across the street from Notre Dame, I am keenly aware of the fact that they are not part of the Big Ten. The point I was making with that was the high seeded SEC teams are going to struggle, sans LSU...
  10. LOL. The Buckeyes have not given up 40+ this decade. Even with Florida's SEC speed (yawn), I think you have the 45 right, but Florida will be in the 20's. SEC is a great conference top to bottom, but the top of the Big Ten is better than the top of the SEC. B10 definitely does not have the depth though. I will give you that LSU is going to destroy Notre Shame, but PSU just topped Tennecheat, and Wisky is taking it to Arkansas right now.
  11. You brought zero facts into hating on Notre Dame. You just highlighted what would have to take place in order for Notre Dame to be in the BCS game, which was not part of the initial 'whining'. It was more to do with the initial quote that said 'have you seen Notre Dame's schedule' - Implying that they had a challenging schedule, which is a common fallacy, and a misperception that Notre Dame fans like to throw out there in order to gain credibility for their program. In addition to that, the initial point was that a one loss ND team would get to the BCS champ before a zero loss Rutgers team, which probably would happen. And that would be an injustice, as Rutgers would have one fewer loss, and have a comparable SOS (Pittsburgh, Lousiville, West Virginia as the three hardest teams for Rutgers, and Michigan (L), USC, and GT for ND). If we want to talk facts though, we can talk Notre Dames bowl record over the past 10-15 years
  12. Notre Shame has nothing to brag about with their schedule. They have played two ranked teams, and got their asses handed to them by one (Michigan), and squeaked by the other (GT). Unfortunately, the public loves them, and they would be unfairly slotted above an undefeated Rutgers team in the NC. But, then the happy thing is we can watch the Irish get slaughtered by whoever they play (eg tOSU's throttling of them in last years Fiesta Bowl)
  13. I heard it from a source I would deem 'unreliable' lol..... HI DAD!
  14. Is it true that the announcer said his younger brother was coming to play at UND?
  15. Hmmmmm, rival, no... hated enemy, yes...
  16. The great thing is this, the NCAA has put itself in a position to where if they deny the North Dakota appeal, after todays events of us garnering support from both Sioux tribes in ND, then they are actually applying a different precendent to UND as they are to FSU, which was given the exemption. I would think an outcome from a lawsuit based on those facts is fairly obvious. If I were a betting man, I would guess that they will delay a decision on UND, and deny the other schools appeals today. No matter what, I think those of us who support the name should feel a lot better today than yesterday.
  17. 1. Buckysieve is spot on. 2. Why are we discussing Chucko? He didn't go to UND. 3. Can't wait for the NHL playoffs to start. 1.) Thanks for re-pointing out the obvious 2.) Because we play them, and what happens to their team in-directly impacts us 3.) Can't wait for you to stop posting here
  18. Agreed 100%. When I look back at our past 'big'' defensmen (Commodore, Greene, and even Smaby), I felt they all looked a little awkward out on the ice their freshman year. Come one summer of weights and drills and they were almost men among boys the rest of the way. I believe Finley will be a similar situation. He's gonna be good...
  19. Interesting article on Jacques Lamoureoux. A bit disappointing in regards to the way the AFA has handled this if you ask me... Denied for depression: AFA recruit By The Associated Press Bismark, N.D. - A junior hockey player says he has been denied an opportunity to realize his dream of playing for an NCAA Division I school because of depression he suffered in the past. Jacques Lamoureux of Grand Forks, N.D., who plays forward for the Bismarck Bobcats in the North American Hockey League, had been recruited to play for Air Force. But he said his admission to the academy was denied this month. "The whole situation caught me off guard," he said. "(Depression) is something I went through three years ago. It's not like I haven't got any better." Dave Toller, a spokesman for the Air Force athletic department, said privacy laws prevent the academy from commenting about the specifics of a player who is rejected for medical reasons. He did say Air Force does not have a blanket policy ruling out applicants who have suffered from depression. "Every situation is a little different," Toller said. "The decision is made by the medical board and is well out of our hands." While he was in high school, Lamoureux sought help for suicidal thoughts and was put on antidepressants
