In response to The Draft Guy, who said he isn't very good, although I've never seen him play, when your recruiting decision comes down to UND, BC, and BU, I think that means you are more than capable of playing at the college level.
-
Here are MacWilliam's stats as of right now, he is also competing in the AJHL all star game this weekend. Although I have never seen him play, this is the d-man the coaches really wanted for next year. http://www.ajhl.ab.ca/leagues/rosters_prof...26417&pos=D

Just got it confirmed, it is Andrew MacWilliam. Welcome aboard.
-
Ryan Duncan, who usually plays the left side will be on the right side tonight with Kozek being on the left. It looks as if the VV, Watkins, Kaip line will stay together and the Zajac, Frattin, Trupp also. I'm not sure on the fourth line though.
-
I was informed about a possible recruiting commitment. We will find out soon if it is true.
-
Cichy is a big time player, he will be here. He is the leading scorer on a not so good team. I've seen him play and I have high expectations for him. I think he will step right into the lineup next year and be one of our top fowards by the end of next year.

There are two aspects of this. First, many baseball players (and UND athletes in general) read these boards and given the amount of hard work they put into this sport, they don't really appreciate people putting down the sport and the team that could potentially have a lot of success. Second, I have been more than well informed that there is no intention to cut the sport of baseball at the Division 1 level.
-
Yes there are some things between the UND and the Murray's which is why we didn't recruit Jordy hardly at all.
-
There was another recruit that played in the tournament here this weekend that was offered for 2008.
-
I will state my opinion on this, take it as you want. I'm not in favor of Bemidji in the WCHA primarly because of scheduling purposes. I would rather see games against Minnesota, Wisconsin, Denver, etc. rather than for example four games against Bemidji and two against Minnesota. Although I don't think it will happen, what would be nice to see is a couple of small schools out of the CCHA and Atlantic Hockey possibly form a new conference with some of th remaining teams of the CHA.
-
I was just going to post that, Garrett Clarke is the highest possibility of that matter.
-
I like how the first two lines are going to be matched up, same as last saturday. I think Miller fits in well (because he is skilled) with Oshie and Duncan. I also like the idea of VV, Watkins, and Kaip because it is similar to that same line last year (VV, Watkins, Porter). Kaip can be a Porter type player. We'll see how Zajac, Frattin, and Trupp play together. There are some high expectations right now for Frattin compared to the rest of the freshmen fowards, so we'll see how he steps up.
-
He's just begun the recruiting process. He's looking at playing in the USHL next year and then college the year after. He would love to come here if the opportunity was there.
-
Probably would've been Mike Cichy since he played here two years ago. Also, the Ludwig rumor is untrue even though it was being talked about at the arena last night.
-
I was also recently informed on that also. Some people have questioned his talent, but the coaches are really high on him and the offer is there. There is also a rumor that C.J. Ludwig committed here, but I'm not sure on the validity of that.
-
Contrary to what was said earlier, people from Roseau told me exactly what you posted, which is that his decision came down to playing time. UND may not have sat him down and offered the scholarship, but he pretty much figured on his own terms that he would get more playing time at SCSU.

Little Caesars North American Hockey Showcase 2008
USA Hockey replied to The Sicatoka's topic in Men's Hockey
Besides Shattuck and Russell Stover, I would also keep an eye on Little Ceasar's, they have been a college pipeline for many years. I will be in attendance later tonight, I have previous commitments beforehand. I will also be in attendance Friday and Saturday afternoon. -
You may hear some of our fans say that, but not me. I realize that the Gophers still have recently gotten the well majority of Twin Cities kids that they have offered.
-
No. I don't think Minnesota should be concerned about UND's recruits as Minnesota has some very top level/high-end talent coming in also.
-
You would be absolutly correct When you have players like Toews, Cichy, Gregoire, Kristo, Fink, Eidsness, Gleason, and both Mattson's coming in, there is no need for concern.
-
Some teams I would pay attention to in the Midget Major tournament this weekend besides Shattuck are Little Caesar's, Russell Stover, and Dallas Stars AAA.
-
As most probably already know, David Toews will be playing here this weekend in the Midget Major showcase. I will be in attendance for as many games as I can, although I have some other commitments while this is going on. Here is the schedule, http://www.theralph.com/cal/event.asp?e=448

From I understand there is just as much of a possibility of keeping Landon Snider as there is of recruiting a new goaltender. What people need to understand, is that if there is a new goaltender brought in, he is going to be the same type of caliber as Walski and will have to assume a backup role. By this point, you won't find a goaltender that is much better than Walski, especially to the fact that Walski is simply older.

Today's game is different from when Blais coached, back then recruiting all four year players was a good route, today it isn't and the numbers show for it. The teams that are in the frozen four and the teams that are winning national championships are not four year teams, they are teams that recruit top talent. I think the coaches realize this, which is why we recruit a mix of top level talent and four year players.

Here are the scoring leaders for the Schwan Cup, you can also click on the team stats on the left side to view our recruits, http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/scorin...p;seasonid=2480 Also, Kristo was one of the recruits here last night. Gleason was also one of the recruits here for the Gophers series.
