Good points. Radke has been an impact player over the last several games! Jones has been great shutting down the opposing team in our end. Miller is in the line-up one game, out the next only to be added to the Duncan/Oshie line. I don't get it? Oshie and Duncan were all but shut down this weekend. Say what you will about the other teams putting their best defensive unit out against them, but I think it has to do with Miller. The kid might have talent, but he lacks the ability and/or desire to do the dirty jobs along the boards. I hope Hak gets someone else on that line to help Dunc and Osh. Darcy has looked great along the boards lately. He wins most of the battles on the boards, but has very little to show for it on the score sheet. I think he will continue to improve this season and will be a Porter/Kaip type player his last two seasons!

As Div 1 hockey becomes more and more a feeder program for the NHL, I think it would be good to mimic the NHL as much as possible. mikejm has a good point with 4 on 4 on Olympic ice, but I think it would be nice to bring closure to some of these games and shootouts in the NHL have been quite entertaining. Also teams that have a lot of skill players (like UND) could have an advantage against less skilled teams that go into a defensive shell with a lead or a tie. Another issue with going longer than 5 minutes is that games that extended longer on Friday nites only wear out players further for the Sat. games. The NCAA is very protective of this issue!

Hope Hak works his magic like he has the past three seasons. Only this time finish the season with a win!

Good to see Taylor put the puck in the net this weekend. He has been rock solid this year, but in saying that I have to believe that he has been a little disappointed in his play this year. Hope he keeps it up and we start rollin'. The schedule is set up for the team to make a run here in the next several weeks. Denver is the only team left on the schedule that should be able to play with us if we get on a roll.

Is just getting to Denver going to be satisfactory to you? Nothin less than hangin a banner will be considered a successful season for this squad. Until we figure some things out, that will never be acheived!

Agreed. Can we have a do-over to the start of the season. I remember seeing a topic on this board early in the season that was titled something like "I know it's early, but has any team gone undeafeted?" with the premise of our squad being very dominant. What a joke! Lots of breakdowns on the ice and chaos off the ice!

Wow! We really look good. Hak postgame "Well I thought we played 41 minutes of good hockey. Just a couple lapses on our side but we played overall a good hockey game!" This is getting difficult to watch!!!!!

It is easy to forget about Miller. He has done very little this season. It might be time for him to start platooning with Forney! I wonder what our record is when Genoway starts on Defense? Seems like we always play much better when he is on the blueline.

What happened to him? He is not the most talented guy and does take a couple of ill-advised penalties, but he does bring grit to the table and can get under the skin of the other opponents. Can't be worse than some of the other guys that are not producing in the line-up. Defensively, he is better than alot of the younger forwards.

Agreed! They are all garbage! Hak stated that he was unsure if he was in favor of the 4 official system. His main reason was that the WCHA has a hard enough time recruiting quality referees for a three official system.
