Once it really got going, I found it sufficiently bad that I switched to radio (the real problem was that whenever the video stuttered the audio would drop too, so I'd actually lose track of what was happening).

Yep, probably took me 10 minutes to get through the order processed, though. It looks ok -- a little worse than what UND has been using the last couple years and definitely just an amateur cameraman in the press booth instead of a production tv broadcast being streamed. Kind of reminsicent of Dataflix.

Ugh.

Power plays have been tough tonight (as has been rumored so far this year). From this game alone, I sure can't point to an obvious flaw. You kind of have to tune out the announcers -- when the Sioux are cycling and lose it they say "you can't just keep looking for the perfect shot, you have to fling it at the net and hope for a good bounce", but if the Sioux took a bad shot they would certainly say they have to take the time to set it up. My first theory based on watching would be that the Badgers have a pretty good kill, as they often seem to step right into our passes, but that wouldn't explain previous games' futility. It's a small enough sample that it could just be bad luck, but it sure is disappointing.

Connelly has had some really high quality saves this game. As to posts -- the funny thing is that traffic is about normal for a home game, people are reading but just lurking. Perhaps that is the national video effect...

5 minutes, 9 shots, no penalties. This is way more enjoyable hockey than any of the Sioux games I was able to watch last year.

Tonight's game should be on both FSSN (Dakotas/Minnesota) and the NHL Network (national).
