I used to attend Rockin' The Hills every year till my kids got older and started playing hockey.
If you are talking about the one in the Turtle Mountains, they no longer have that so you are slightly safe there. I wish I was going to WeFest but as between West Regional in March and the ND State Fair the past two weeks, I have no extra money that is not tied up with school so.... I hope you guys who are going have fun. Don't go too redneck crazy though.

Smart kid, too. Graduated with honors, was a member of the National Honor Society and is a Math major. He probably could have (maybe did) gotten an academic scholarship.
He was quoted in an issue of Sioux Illustrated as saying that his dad inspired him to want to become a math teacher.
my kind of guy.

LOL! Thanks for the memory!

Just found that as well. That would be fun, any idea when it will be finalized and we find out for sure?

Later that day we crossed into North Dakota. Within 20 miles we were welcomed back to the U.S. in a way almost uniquely American. OnInterstate 39, we saw a sign that read North Dakota State Police ahead. Then half a mile later the sign read

I like how how the scoring sheet or whatever that was at the bottom of the article had Chris Porter, Jonathan Toews, and Tyler McGregor right in a row.

Nice video from what I could see of it. Bad internet connection and it would stop every two seconds. but I will defitnitely go back and finish it when I get a better connection.

NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Ok, got that off my chest. Good-bye and Good-luck to Jordie though i may continue to not believe this until October. Better for the mental state of my mind. jk. Hopefully, we don't lose anyone else.

T.J. is 19, he turns 20 on December 23rd. so hey it is legal. now, if it was the new goalie, that would be a little sick.

The hockey team is somewhat smart, if you don't believe, see this article.

It specifically states that you have to have gotten at least a 3.0 GPA for two semesters or a cumlative 3.0 GPA in order to get on this team. And that three of our boys have made it two years in a row. So, yes they may not be what the NCAA considers excellent in graduation rates, but when you have as good as program as UND does, you can't expect some of them to hang around until graduation day.

I GOTTA FEVAH...AND DA ONLY PRA-SCRIPTION...IS MORE COWBELL!
Think we could get him to come play at the Ralph for a game sometime. Commie would fit in real well in the student section, I'm thinking.

Certainly this will be seen as "buying off" the tribes, but who cares?
But don't we know that that worked in the case of FSU! Though I do think that some people would take it wrong if it was mixed in with all the Sioux hockey pictures, so a separate room or area would be better. Though, can the university do that since they don't own the Ralph or the land that it is on?

I would say federal case though in North Dakota, since the NCAA is a national institute, but UND is in North Dakota. that is what I figured anyway.

Sry, I meant that sarcastically. I should have put a smiley after it.
And if you don't like them because of a basketball game then go for it.
That I understand. My brother's team was 26-0 before losing to MPC-G in 1997 in the championship. That is Mayville, Portland, Clifford, Galesburg, for those of you who didn't know.
MPCG usually has good teams. Good coach, too. What team did your bro play for?
-
Though you notice that he couldn't even say who played the character from Brokeback Mountain. As a newspaper man you would think that he could research a little and find at least that. I believe that it was Jake Gynheal(spelled wrong but you know who I mean) who said it.
-
This is the picture I have been waiting to see since last night when the stupid tv ended coverage before they showed him.

Nope, the saying goes "...the pot calling the kettle black."

In, picture number thirty on the december ninth ones. you have Tyler instead of Taylor. And in the UND morning skate, you have drew stafford in the caption instead of jordan parise in the second pic. And those could happen to anyone, so not a big deal.
other than that you are good, so far, i'll let you know about any others if i find some.
-
You're probably some kid from Newburg North Dakota calling the kettle black.
Hey, be nice to people from Newburg. They are very nice. I'm from by that area. And it is the pot, not the kettle that they call black.

The last info I heard was that the athletic department was discussing ways to handled the distribution. I think that they will let the students know when they have a plan, not necessarily a good one, but I trust them so......

There were some shirts at Scheel's once upon time up in GF that had a picture of a choking gopher (like the animal) and the saying on them was something along the lines of "It's hard to play hockey when you have both your hands around your throat"
I thought they would like those haha!! And I should be getting some shirts in the mail sometime in the near future I hope....
I would love one, just tell me what to do.

I thought that Parise couldn't sign anywhere until after the draft? That could explain why the herald article quoted him as saying that things could change, but he is planning to stay. I could be wrong though.

Question for ya? If Holy Cross is one of your favorite teams. Why were you so fiercley cheering against them the next day? Kinda seems a lil odd? We choked, got beat by a nondescript team, got over it. Its really kinda funny that you can't let go.
Not all of us were cheering fiercely against them the next day! I know that I for one could not bring myself to cheer against them. I can honestly say that if they had beat us, I would have been sad yes but I would have been happy for them because they would have worked hard to do so.

the only thing about that, that makes me wonder is if he transfers wouldn't he not be able to play for a year essientially ruining the whole point of transfering to play more because by the time he would be able to play again, he would be getting more time in at UND. plus Hak and the others must have seen something in him that we haven't seen to have him on the team in the first place.
