  1. I had posted something ealier saying we need the crowd that was at the west regionals at every sioux game and that I hope they fire someone, wedding music at hockey games IS NOT ALLOWED!! Seriously! Make a effin CD or whatever of good music for A HOCKEY GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Can it be that hard

Or if the players get too choose the music, they all probably have ipods that have their favorite music on them and it isn't that hard to hook one up to something to play from that or just make the cd from their music folder on their computer.

  2. And I did find out what his legal issue was, and it wasn't major. At least not in my determination of a major (or even semi-major) offense.

100% he'll be on the ice next week.

Ok, are you going to tell us what it was or do we have to guess?

Just read the paper from today, and it said that he missed practice time?

  3. Since when did REA and UND decide to start checking ID's before hockey games? That is if you were a none season ticket holder....The past two years I have NEVER been asked for my ID.... Why is it we have to present our IDs when we had to present them to buy the tickets...If REA is going to check student IDs they need to start checking everyone's ID... Because after all a ticket is NON-TRANSFERABLE

They have been checking them as long as I have been going to UND which is three years now. Some games they don't especially if they are trying to get a lot of people through. Why they do it, I don't know. Just one of those things I guess.

  4. I liked this part:

"One day last season, Lamoureux and teammate Jonathan Toews were missing during the NCAA West Regional media gathering in Engelstad Arena. The pair were found in the Olympic ice rink, drenched in sweat, working out an hour before practice began."

I laughed when I read that part. Fortunately nobody walked in since I was at work when I read it.

  5. YOU NEVER EVEN CALLED ME BY MY NAME

Written by Steve Goodman Performed by David Allen Coe

It was all that I could do to keep from cryin'

Sometimes it seems so useless to remain

You don't have to call me darlin', darlin'

You never even call me by my name.

You don't have to call me Waylon Jennings

And you don't have to call me Charlie Pride.

You don't have to call me Merle Haggard, anymore.

Even though your on my fightin' side.

    CHORUS

And I'll hang around as long as you will let me

And I never minded standin' in the rain.

You don't have to call me darlin', darlin'

You never even call me by my name.

I've heard my name a few times in your phone book

I've seen it on signs where I've laid

But the only time I know, I'll hear David Allan Coe

Is when Jesus has his final judgement day.

    CHORUS...

Well, a friend of mine named Steve Goodman wrote that song

and he told me it was the perfect country and western song

I wrote him back a letter and told him it was NOT the perfect

country and western song because he hadn't said anything about

Momma, or trains, or trucks, or prison, or gettin' drunk.

Well, he sat down and wrote another verse to the song and he sent

it to me and after reading it, I realized that my friend had written

the perfect country and western song. And I felt obliged to include it

on this album. The last verse goes like this here:

Well, I was drunk the day my Mom got outta prison.

And I went to pick her up in the rain.

But, before I could get to the station in my pickup truck

She got runned over by a damned old train.

    CHORUS:

So I'll hang around as long as you will let me

And I never minded standin' in the rain. No,

You don't have to call me darlin', darlin'

You never even call me, I wonder why you don't call me

Why don't you ever call me by my name.

    Good song. it does fit.

  6. I bet I know a David Allen Coe/Steve Goodman song might be Zach's favorite.

Don't leave us hanging, which one? Sorry, I don't remember those ones. Seriously though, you would think that people would have editors for this. The first two times were funny but this is getting a little ridiculous. Though, I also noticed in the DS that we have Phillip Lamouruex also.

  7. Just read in CrossSports that McGregor got cut by the Sharks. (OK, anyone, run with it.)

Aeros signed Steve Shields so it looks like Quesada will be going to the ECHL. Some one also posted in CrossSports today that Quesada was at the Wild's camp, got hurt and is out for 4-6 weeks.

Too bad, about McGregor. Quesada did get hurt, his knee. He had surgery on it last week. I heard this from him.

Just checked the ahl website and Quesada is still listed on the Sharks roster, they have four on there.

  8. nothing in today's paper, but I don't know if that falls under things that they can't say. Like Lammy's eye, nothing was ever said in the paper, that I saw.

  9. Another "Oops!" fixed. I left out Toews' goal that put Team White up 2-1.

Don't feel bad about the "Oops". In reading the Dakota Student today, they had Zach written down as Matt too. I think he might be used to it as he is the younger brother and that tends to happen.

  10. Greg Shepherd said the WCHA would be switching to the four-official system for the 2008 season. We better get used to it.

It stunk, they kept stopping in front of us so we couldn't see around them! The best part about that is that I was about a foot away from Storey when he got hit in the face with a puck!! ??? My friend and I had fun yelling at one of them to move and watching him skate back and forth between us!! It may be a good idea though. More refs more of a chance that they will see something happen.
