Are we trying to get him since we went with Evan? That might be a good idea

  2. If this is a pool (ala jimdahl) I'm taking Halloween.

The weather always seems crappy on Halloween.

What? You don't like trick or treating or taking your kids around (to include everyone) in the middle of a snow storm! That was always the best part!!! :silly:

  3. North Central ND is normally around, mid October to early November, depends on the year. The latest I have seen snow was three yrs ago on May 12th. What i have heard is that in our area the only month that hasn't seen snow is July. It didn't stay in June or August which might be why it hasn't been recorded.

  4. Let's not forget the loss of Brad Berry as well. A huge hole that will take time for his replacement, however well qualified, to fill. Berry's work with the young defensemen has been legendary, and his off ice demeanor and bench skills are both top shelf.

Sure, Berry doesn't lace them up, but his absence will hurt, at least early on while the kids acclimate to a new guy.

UND has replaced Brad Berry with Dane Jackson. Yes it will take time to fill up the hole as a person, but I trust Hak and if he thinks this will work, then it will work.

    Heres the website link:

  5. Big difference there is that the Sioux team doesn't score when Lammy has been in net.

they didn't last year, but whose to say that they won't this year? I am not disputing that they haven't before, but now they don't have Parise. I believe that we will be fine this year with Lammy and with the other two. it is just a matter of the team molding with each other.

  6. I was laughing so hard, I almost spit pop all over my computer. I love this thread, keep the pictures coming. Maybe somebody should e-mail the news though. We have Gopher fans and Sioux fans agreeing on something. It is historic! :silly:

  7. 1. UND

2-10. There are other teams? :silly:

Ditto, Diggler! The only one I am sure, sure about is UAA and 10th spot. I do feel sorry for them. They remind of a team I knew once that got the Spirit Award every year cause that was the only thing they ever won. It was sad cause everyone knew it too.

  8. I'm wondering if that is some sort of a shot at Toews, i.e. "big deal, you ended up higher in the draft but guess what? Chicago didn't want you and the Bruins want Phil, so where does that leave you?". Who knows?

It leaves him in a place that he didn't mind going back to, and at a place where he can develop as a player in order to be more ready. Maybe Phil (Kessel, not the real one) thought he was ready and that was his choice. I wish him the best of luck, though I still don't like him as a hockey player. As for his parents, he is almost 19, technically they can't make all of his decisions anymore if he doesn't want them to.

  9. I had a teacher who thought that a sort of crude interpretive dance was the best way to describe how atomic reactions of different sorts occurred. We called in the "neutron dance," though any semblence to the Family Guy's version is coincidental (not to mention this whole thing took place perhaps.... 10 years before Family Guy? Not entirely certain when it came out).

EDIT: Not to mention my high school world geography teacher who thought it was the most hilarious thing to have witnessed his wife get submitted to a full-body cavity search....

Ok, you win in the weirdest teacher ever category :D

  10. Sorry, that whole debate goes to those students at UMD who take courses from that professor who claims a laser beam downed Wellstone's airplane and all those other crazy conspiracy theories. Felltzer or Felzer or something like that...

Not really I had a high school teacher who was preparing for Y2K in 1995. but he also thought that "I ripped my pants so my mom sodium." was a good joke. If you don't get it say it out loud. if you still don't get it, don't worry 15 students didn't get it either until he started laughing.

  11. Can we get a drive-by from the guy on the unicycle again?

I think I might know him! Did he have a beard and like sandy blonde hair color? Cause if he did, he was my professor freshman year!

  12. Students still stand in line for a long time for Sioux-Gopher games. We stand in line for most of the games. This year I actually stood in line to get into the game for longer than I waited in line for a ticket.

  13. Isn't there one more Zajac that is younger than Kelly? I think someone mentioned him at some point on here. I think I remember that he is a 90 or 91 born so it would be a while until we even possibly saw him.

Nolan is younger than Kelly. I don't remember how old he is though. I thought he was like 14 or so, but I could be wrong.

  14. 14 shirts, 2 sweatshirts, 1 Pair of sweatpants, 2 fighting Sioux signs, 2 pictures signed by the teams from that year. A flag signed by the team, a puck from the first game at the Ralph, a coke bottle from the first game at the Ralph, two green flags from the ralph, a license plate frame, and I can't remember what else.

  15. Yes, August 22nd for sure. It may only be here half the day, but it will be at the Ralph for sure for the public to see.

do we know when on that day since it is the first day of classes and it is never a good sign to skip the first day.

  16. WiSioux letter may have been delayed but I have yet to get a response to my e-mail to good old Pomeroy. I e-mailed Conrad and Dorgan and have heard from both of them. makes me wonder a little. I can't say anything too bad about him though since my dad knows him.
