  1. I had a Dixon Ward (#11) hockey stick but it floated away in the flood of '97 -- probably ended up in Winnipeg which would be appropriate  Great player!!! Funny ears... ;)

 I'm sorry. maybe somebody from Winnipeg found it and will read this and want to give it back!

  2. Ok, I wasn't going to reply to this but I feel I must get this off my chest. Whether he threw Nazi THEMED parties or not, from what I have heard about Ralph he was a nice guy. We are never going to know for sure if he was a Nazi supporter or not because the only person who can tell us that is Ralph. Don't know about you, but I don't have his phone number at the moment. GET OVER IT AND LET THE MAN REST IN PEACE. He apologized, so why can't we all get along and stop ranting over this. Everyone makes mistakes. Sorry for the long rant, but after 4 pages I had to get this off my chest.

    Ok, I feel better now.

  3. I vote that Mike and Matt form thier own team and win it so then I don't have to choose which one to cheer for. That would work, they could so totally beat both teams except they might need a goaltender too.

  4. I guess the representative from ND doesn't want to do his job and thinks that bringing legislation onto the floor is a messy and polarizing business. If that's the way he is going to represent ND, then can someone remind me why anyone voted him into this powerful position? Also, why don't we hear these same weasel words from the Illinois representatives? Or the Minnesota representatives?

Its time everyone on the forum board start writing the ND newspapers and expressing your concern about Rep. Pomeroy's wobbly knees when it comes to supporting the legislation! Let Earl know we are pissed and are going to be vocal about its so he thinks he has to address it in the media and not with BS, copycat congressional reply letters.

It is not just Earl. I e-mailed Conrad and Dorgan, just to let them know my feelings if H.R. 5289 makes it to the Senate and I got a bs letter from Conrad today. He carefully avoiding answering any of my questions or concerns in it.

  5. Sorry for not replying for so long...I have not checked this thread for a while. Both hockey and football games are on 1390AM from Minot, though they don't broadcast very powerfully. They are religious with hockey games, pretty much everyone (I do recall a late night Alaska-Anchorage game being interupted though); I am not sure about fooball though. Out of Bismarck, hockey is suppose to be on 710AM but I recall it not being on there earlier this year for at least one game (local sports instead). I never used to folow fooball so I am not sure what the coverage is like from Bismarck.

And thanks bincitysioux for answering the question.

    Thanks for the info.

  6. First penalty of the night... Matt Greene... tripping. I saw a replay, didn't look that bad too me...

me either, I noticed that the second penalty one of the announcers on OLN tried to give him that one, too. but it was Spacek.

  7. I think right now they have switched from demanding passports to id cards, but I don't know if that is just for Americans or that applies to others too. I would think that it would get sorted out if the player was really good.

  8. The same person that told me about Chorney also gave me the info about JPar having an agent two weeks before Hennessey said the same thing on the air.

Why wouldn't he have an agent? If they want to make it to the NHL, wouldn't you get an agent as soon as possible? My guess is that they get one, so I don't understand how that would be news. And I don't mean that to be mean or anything.

I hope neither of them leave or anybody else, but good luck to them if they do.

  9. Matt Greene with ~13 minutes of play in last night's game. Wasn't on the ice for any of the scoring. NO PENALTIES! ;)

Was he slacking or what for penalties  just joking! Good for him, I didn't get to see the game but I wish I had.

  10. I am not from Grand Forks so I only hear UND sports games, not the local coverage. I will say though that the anouncers for the Sioux hockey games are very good. And also, I would not like it if I couldn't hear UND games in the North-Central part of the state (ND) because a local station in GF got the contract. But I can see why locals wish the coverage was better.

What channel do you listen to? I am in the middle of the state when I come home and I can't find a channel that has them on.

  11. Anyone have any info on this bill.

So far it is has been referred to the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. and that was on May 4 according to the Thomas website. That is all I know about.

  12. Something tells me that the younger Lammy was going to either Northern Michigan or Western Michigan. Something like that. Not Tech.

Ok, that makes sense. i knew it was at least michigan

  13. First, if Jordie is actually gone then good luck to him. Second, with the titles, I thought we were counting NCAA TITLES, not ones before that. can you really count titles that happened before the NCAA existed as NCAA titles? that is all I have to say.

  14. What about the three former Sioux players that are already head coaches that applied?

    Peter Stewart

    Mike Boschee

    Peter Stewart

I'll admit a bias. Peter Stewart is my brother and would do a great job. Give him a chance to interview on-campus before the committee, the staff and students of UND, the letterewinners and the community and he would knock their socks off!!

I, too, wondered about this. though Mike Boschee only had three yrs of coaching experience which is probably why they didn't choose him. I will admit I don't know a lot about Peter Stewart though. Sry.

  15. This was in the Minot Daily News today. Better late than never, I guess. I hope he and God get the party started up in Heaven in October. maybe Ralph will join them!!

  16. Like their politics or not, they are elected by the people of North Dakota to bring in money from Washington and they do that job well.

Right, and where is that money that they supposedly got for us last summer and last fall from FEMA. Haven't seen any of that yet. I was under the impression that their job in Washington was to do represent us their constituents (sp?) there.

Mafiaman-North Dakota tends to elect democratic representatives to Congress becuase their agricultural stance tends to go along with us more than the republicans, but we agree with the Republicans more, if that makes sense.
