Up to 15th right now, but just barely (one vote separates) and Lennon is sitting in 8th place
-
weeks? I would have guessed longer

I am glad that they turned out. I was a little worried after last year when Students did not turn out well at all. Hopefully, they can keep it up because our boys deserve to have their fellow students there supporting them.

Up to 20th now

Proposal aired to combine NDSU and UND!

I know everything that you stated as history. I have studied it, as have others in my family. Second, I ask again who commonly thinks of it as one? From the websites that I could find, North Dakota has one flagship university, but I can see that we are going to disagree on this so fine I agree to disagree. -
perhaps, and just to clarify for those wondering....this is not the ending team.....they are in the process of voting right now....for the link to vote see the first post

Proposal aired to combine NDSU and UND!
siouxforeverbaby replied to WYOBISONMAN's topic in Community
it refers to the system! The system is the NDUS system. And most of the websites that I found did not list ND has having two flagship universities because as we only have ONE university system...we can only have one UNIVERSITY that the system grew out of.....NDSU did not start out as a university, they started out as an ag school. -
that too, but we seem to be playing better as a team and as players....how we play as a team is not about who we play but how we coordinate together.
-
Where has this team been this year so far?
-
Sounds like Mitch is out for the game at least
-
was there a flag? oh, illegal block on the Riverhawks. SACK AT THE ONE!
-
I believe he took a hit and landed wrong? I sort of missed the part about how he went down.
-
I am on internet radio.
-
anybody else watching/listening to this game online?

Proposal aired to combine NDSU and UND!
siouxforeverbaby replied to WYOBISONMAN's topic in Community
I did not remove it, I left it out. The reason I left that out is because I did not see that as part of the definition. I saw that as an explanation of what is often a flagship school. And if you look at the dates of those schools, they are probably the oldest in that system whereas NDSU is a land-grant school and NOT the oldest in the system -
Got an email this morning about voting for an All-Alerus Center Team....thought I would pass on the message to those of you that didn't get it. My link

Preliminary opinion from NCAA on UND/NDSU combining

thank you. and I agree with you that he has the right to raise the issue, but I just don't see how it would ever work. -

Glad I could help you laugh and thank you for calling me a joke and fyi I don't like mushrooms. Now to explain, flagship university is a common word and I found a definition for it if you want to reference my original post. Secondly, UND is still known as the Fighting Sioux...we are allowed to use the nickname this year as it has not been officially retired yet....we are in the process of it. There will be a new nickname, so deal with it. I normally am fine with you, but next time...please try to read all of the conversation before you butt in. -

My point was that you completely ignored the second half of my original post....sorry for an attempt at being sarcastic. And you are still ignoring it, making a new university would not make a new flagship university. But I get that you want to ignore that part, so moving on. -
Preliminary opinion from NCAA on UND/NDSU combining
siouxforeverbaby replied to Bill Kiefer's topic in Community
Um, no...a vote of the people of North Dakota can not change the definition of a flagship university.....sorry. And yes, a vote of the people would overrule the SBoHE..but in all actuality how many people in North Dakota actually want this? You have 10 people listed for your group, 9 of whom live in North Dakota. That is not the majority at all and really, if it is going to take money from the schools in their area....I don't see a whole lot of people going for this. -

One, the issue would not be the NCAA's, it would be the SBoHE's. Two, the definition as much as I can find of a flagship university is that it is the oldest university from which a university system grew....therefore, making it virtually impossible to make NDSU and UND...ONE flagship school. UND is the oldest being founded in 1883, a full 7 years before NDSU and UND being the state university when the colleges were established. The states that have more than one flagship school, also have more than one university system.
