Off topic. Is that the kid who won the ESPN contest working the Big Ten desk? That kid was terrible on anything that did not bounce on hardwood. BD

UMD is laying down. They scoed again. 2-0 CC up

CC scores at 8;12 mark of the 2nd. BD

I agree that they should keep Kozek up with the top line. He is a goal scorer ar heart and he just needs more time to continue to develop into a consistent threat at this level. In previous years he always played with grinders. Keep him with playmakers and let him take advantage of that shot. It is by far the best on the team. Accuracy is near what you have in Duncan and it is hard (in the Finley mode). Now if he can learn to get it off like Oshie in traffic he will be deadly. Mark my words he will be the top scoring player next year. BD

Thanks for posting this link. This is what Hockey Day MN, ND, Canada or wherever is about! A kid that will not give up and the inspiration he is to everyone he touches. What was the consensus of what we should do for this young man. I know that many of us comitted to getting him a satellite but PSB took care of that. What are some other ideas? Wisco Bob and PSB do you have any ideas as you have met the family? My first thoughts are getting him a box for the final 5. I do not know if they are available but if we started know we could definitely make it happen. This is the first thing that comes to mind and he may be too tired to spend this much time at an event. Need additional input. Lets step up and deliver something extra special for this young man!! BD -
It is good!! I am having a hard time cheering for the "roadkill" gang. BD

Goofs score with 11:01 left in the game. It is under review. Appears to be good but a stick could have hit the puck above the crossbar. BD

Excellent idea! Count me in. Just let me know when and where to send the donation. BD -
No they do not. I have looked previously and there is nothing. You are not missing much. UAA just had a goal disallowed because the net was coming off before the puck went in. That is about the only highlight to share. Basically your average dump and chase Bucky game. BD

Bucky and the Seadogs are about to drop the puck. For those of you with Directv you catch the game on channel 642. Anyone got that Kaip fight yet? It was awesome. BD

Had to go with the 10 minute OT (4 on 4). The differnce in rinks just adds to the fun. In some rinks it might be an advantage for one team or another so coaches would have to manage for that. Anything to add more scoring, open ice and less obstruction to the game is good in my opinion. BD

Are you planning on listing the scores when this all over? Just curious how everyone will do. Also, how many people chose Nodl and Rueggsegger? Thanks. BD

Thought I would throw out a general question in the hopes that someone out there has some "inside information" about the the future sites of the Midwest & West Regionals. Currently, the East and Northeast have been determined through 2011 and the Midwest and West have only been determined through 2009. My gut tells me that there is fewer options for these locations and the committe does not want to go back to the same sites so quickly. I also can't help but think that the NCAA has chosen not to award these sites because of the Nickname issue with UND. Let me know if you have heard ahy rumors or have any thoughts. Thanks. BD

City/State you were born and where you live now? Devils Lake, ND Minneapolis, MN Did you attend UND? 90-94 BBA Favorite current sioux player? TJ Oshie Favorite all time sioux player/s? Hrkac, Parise, Eades, Sykes - h@ll the list is too long. Favorite all time NON sioux WCHA player and team? Jordan Leopold - Not fond of any team in particular. Are you a season ticket holder? Family has had tickets for years. I make it to a few series every year in GF and atleast a couple games at other WCHA locations.

Thanks PCM for posting this all year! We all appreciate it alot as many of us do not have the oppotunity to hear it. I couldn't help but notice that Hak stated there would be a couple more decisions that are made public in the near future when they were talking about Duncan and Chorney. We already know Oshie (my 3 1/2 year old is loving it. He can't say TJ Oshie so he calls him TC Woshy) but I got the inmpression from your recap that Hak meant that those decisons were postive ones for UND? Is that the case or am I just being optimistic about Toews or Lee coming back? Thanks again and Woshy for Hobey in 2008!!!

Did someone call for a Bird Dog? My girls are excellent bird hunters but they do enjoy catching and torturing rodents!!!

PCM & Sioux-CIA have captured it very well. First we were hot the better team tonight and it showed. We can talk about specific playsers, plays, penalties, etc..But that stuff occurs in every game and the winning team (usually the Sioux) finds a way to win. The bottom line is that we did not deserve to win becasue we were outplayed tonight by a very good team. There is no reason to look at it any differently. When we take shots at our players or the refs it doesn't reflect well on our program. Which IMO is one of the best and will contunue to be. I am very bummed that we did not finish the run but I am extremely proud to be a Sioux Alum and plan on focusing on next year and who we can sign. One last thing. To complain about only winning 7 titles in 17 Frozen Four appearances is whinning! Last time I checked we have the second most titles in the history of College Hockey and we continue to build on that every year. Be proud of this years team and remember that we are the luckiest fans in all of college hockey. I will not bother giving the list of reasons because it is so obvious. Have a great offseason and I look forward to checking in during the offseason. Now I am hope we can keep a few of these guys for our run next year!! GO SIOUX!!!!

I am not one of the conspiracy theorists about the NC$$ and UND mainly because I did not give the NC$$ that much credit. I felt that it was too far beyond their scope. But I tell you what after reviewing all the available College Hockey this weekend and finding that the ONLY GAME THAT IS TAPE DELAYED IS UND/MICHIGAN I am starting to move to the "Dark Side". I think the straw that started it was the fact that FSN Detroit has High School Basketball and to add insult to injury they don't even have the tape delay version on after the frickin b-ball game. The have Fult titl poker on!!! The second one is that Altitude has all sorts of College Hockey on but it isn't from Denver (their own viewing area) it is from the East Region and the Midwest Region. You just can't make this stuff up. Even a conspiracy theorist would not have gone this frickin far!! Make some room on the DARK SIDE!!! :

The bars get the same feeds that we do at home. The Saturday game (unless something changes) will be televised at 10PM. Maybe things will change but I would not bet on it. I was hoping that the Sioux were in another bracket (not because of MN or MI) because the other brackets games are almost always telvised live. I have had Directv for 3 years and it generally works out that the West Region games are delayed. Sorry to share the bad news.

This is the schedule that Altitude has on its website as of this morning. Saturday, March 24 11:00 AM NCAA Div. I Men's Ice Hockey Championships - Northeast Regional Semi #1 1:30 PM Race Central TV 2:00 PM Raceline 2:30 PM NCAA Div. I Men's Ice Hockey Championships - Northeast Regional Semi #2 5:00 PM Around the Town 5:30 PM Colorado Mammoth - Mammoth at Buffalo Bandits 8:00 PM Nuggets Fast Break 8:30 PM Avalanche Alert! 9:00 PM One on One - Mike Tirico- ABC/ESPN broadcaster 9:30 PM Colorado Mammoth - Mammoth at Buffalo Bandits 12:00 AM NCAA Div. I Men's Ice Hockey Championships - West Regional Semi #1 2:30 AM NCAA Div. I Men's Ice Hockey Championships - West Regional Semi #2 Sunday, March 25 12:00 PM Talking with Heroes 12:30 PM RMAC Showcase 1:30 PM NCAA Div. I Men's Ice Hockey Championships - Northeast Regional Final 4:00 PM NCAA Div. I Men's Ice Hockey Championships - West Regional Final These times are all Mountain Time Zone. That means that ESPNU is the best alternative for Saturdays game as it is at 10pm (Tape delay) and that ESPNU and Altitude will be televising the West Regional Championship at 5PM (Central) on Sunday. So unless Altitude changes its scheduling ESPNU is the best alternative at this point. That is channel 609 on Directv and if someone has the Sports Pack they get this channel. Not the best alternatives but you can always catch it on the radio (via webcast).

I agree with most everything posted so far. It is by the numbers (mostly) but I cannot help but believe that the decisions are made based on $$$. The only non numbers decision was to have the Goofs in Denver. They are the #1 overall seed by the numbers thus they should be in Grand Rapids based on the NCAA rules. ND was placed in Grand Rapids for $$$ and that cannot be argued.
