  1. BTW the Sioux dropped to a tie for 8th with the win over MSU (Mavericks dropped out of the Top 25 and TUC). When will the NCAA start using something similar to the KRACH rating?
  2. Tide for 15th with CC wheh you add .003 bonus in. Can you say wait till next year!!!!
  3. Any word on if WDAZ will be broadcasting the games on FSSN and if so will they be available on webcast? Thanks.
  4. Some friends will not be making the trip from Grand Forks this weekend due to the weather. They have two tickets to the Saturday game. If you are interested please call 701-775-5254 and ask about the tickets to the UND game.
  5. PCM, Thanks for posting this every week. It is something I look forward to every week as a displaced Sioux Alum (in the heart of Goofer Country).
  6. My bad. Just relaized the error in this question.
  7. Is there speculation that these two are looking at UND? Heisenberg has them listed as NCAA prospects. I am assuming he is basing this on something coming out of their camps. I would love to have either one as it would defintely elevate the class but I am hesitant as there is always the possibility (especially with Turris) that they go another route (Can. Jrs).
  8. Okay heres the skinny on Directtv. Red Neck Sioux is correct about about having to upgrade to get CSTV and the entire FSN (Fox Sports Network) package. If you did not upgrade from the basic plus you would automatically get FSN North (carries nearly all the Gopher Games and a few others - mainly UMD). The Sports package upgrade that Redneck is talking about costs $9 and is worth it if you enjoy college hockey. The reason it is worth it is that you get all the FSN Regions and about 4-5 carry College Hockey on a regualr basis. CSTV has Friday Night Hockey and has games from all over the country. Last year the Sioux were on about 3-4 times. The other FSN Regions will allow you to see many of the Eastern Teams (as the NESN - North East Sports Network covers BC, BU, New Hampshire, etc..), CCHA action (FSN Detroit) and FSN Rocky Mountain (DU & CC). There was not one weekend last year that I could not get atleast 2-3 Hockey games from around the country. I would highly recommend this package to any College Hockey Fan! I plan to get another Satellite so that I will have the FSSN this upcoming season. From what I understand you can get the FSSN games for about $200 in equipment and no montly fee? I would check into this as I am not 100% sure. Good luck.
  9. Well stated.
  10. Absolutely agree with your statement. But we have been discussing him moving onto NJ and comparing him to Parise. I just think that is not a fair comparison and that Zajac is a good player. However, I did think after last years stellar Freshman season that he would bag a few more goals. I'm not complaining becuase he is our best two way player and one of the best faceoff men in college hockey. I have to wonder if he would put up monster numbers if he were paired with the same linemates for a long time (2nd year). I hope we get an opportunity to see him play with Oshie and Spirko next season.
  11. I was talking about Zajac not becoming the star at the college level. He is a very good two way player but he is not a star. He is even overshadowed to some extent by Oshie and Toews along with Stafford. I personally think the Sioux would be lost without him as he is gifted playmaker that plays both neds of the ice.
  12. Absolutely right. Plus he took a big step towards securing a future career option by permanently becoming a "non-import" player in the Swiss league. Had he not gone this season, he would have been unable to secure this designation. Now he can return to North America, give pro hockey a shot here, and head off to a nice Swiss career if it doesn't work out here. It's unfortunate for UND that it worked out that way, but he did the right thing. What does a "non import" mean?
  13. Interesting article. That would be a big loss if Zajac, Stafford, and Smaby all left. What does your incoming freshman class look like? Is there a thread I can check out? It's not nearly as good as the almighty Gophers incoming class is. I wouldn't worry about the Sioux next year if I were the Gophers. They will be worse than ever, trust me . Sorry. Did not see an previous threads about the recruiting class. The link below details who has signed, when, where, stats, etc.. It is note very in depth but it gives a good idea about a teams direction. Hope it helps. As far as TZ leaving I am firmly in the camp that he stays another year for all the reasons already listed. 1. His brother is coming to UND 2. Zach signed early and struggled (even this year until he was consistently on a talented line - remember the benching earlier in the year?) 3. He has not become the star that everyone thought he would be at the College level Just my two cents
  14. Worked just great. Odd that NHU is getting so much interest. Makes me think a closet NHU rube is out their? Thanks for setting it up.
