Just a quick question, you seem to know a lot about this, but do you personally support the Sioux nickname or no. Because you kinda of sound like we should not challenge this and that the NCAA is all knowing and all right. Go Sioux!

I respectfully disagree with you. If they are not a business why does the NCAA employee over 800 lawyers. I thought only big business does that. If they are a club. Do not most clubs give a vote to the members not just to a committee. The rank and file should be heard and, and why only a selct few schools come off the list. you can not apply this to some and not to other. Florida State is exempt, but why? I think this has more to do with money then a school being hostile and abusive. UND is neither.

Dorgan is the only one that has an email on his site adn that is: senator@dorgan.senate.gov The other two have links on their sites to send messages to them.

I agree and I will post their numbers to their offices in a few minutes. Also if you go to NCAA.org there is a link under President Myles Brand bio that lets you email mr. Brand. I have already done so and others should follow. Will get those numbers and post them shortly.

I am schocked and dismayed, I am not sure if i can be both but I am. I think it is time for a lawsuit and that the NCAA needs to think more about what they are doing then to worry about money. UND has the support of two local tribes and Florida state has the support of 1. They have a white man on a horse and in war paint with a spear, UND has a emblem and a name. I can see how one would be confused to think that UND is the same. No I can not and I think that people need to finally be outraged and do something. Ia m tired of my favorite sports team being singled out. After being at the Frozen Four my only concearn is that you are nicer then some of the Badgr fans I meet. But Welcome and Go Sioux! There are some Badger fans that are not very nice. As a matter of fact there are some real aholes...I would have been embarrassed if my fan base acted like some of them did...

The problem is that the NCAA should have no right to tell a state run school whawt they can or cannot be named. I want to know more then anything, why are North Dakota's Senators and Congressman not throwing a fit and challenging the NCAA to change this. Bring a formal complaint against them on the record and in a public forum like congress. They need to state that the NCAA is over stepping their authority and that UND can benamed what ever they want to be named. I want to hear Dorgan, Conrad(I forget the other guys names.) speak up and speak loudly. Just a thought, can not wait till thrusday.

I realize I am new to SS but I will be there and my brother is flying in from Ohio to go with me. No wife no kid, just beer and hockey. Sounds like a damn good weekend to me. We got a room about 9 miles from the Bradley Center but taxi's are a good thing. Hope we are skating around Saturday night with a large trophy. Go Sioux....My brother heard of a cool bar in mIlwaukee and I guess it is themed after like a James Bond type of place. Sounds cool. Hope everyone has fun.

I just wonder what the Golden Chocker fans would be saying about this if they would have been the Minnesota State University. I would bet a lot of money that everyone from the TV, Radio and coaches would be outraged. Not to mention that silly little man Dubay from KFAN. The would be demanding a response. One I had to deal with some jerk Gopher fans at last nights game to. Every time I walked by I got the stupid chant "Dirty Sioux" over and over. I only had one response......7 is Greater then 5!.... IT was a report regarding the NCAA ruling regarding nicknames. They had a sound bite from Kupcella and one other person saying that it is an hon or to have a school named after them. The rest of the report was basically saying that having indian nicknames makes natives out to be second class citizens. A lot of BS. One person from UND Indian studies group said that UND has never had permission from any tribe to use the nickname. That is just a lie. I tivo'd the report it was maybe 5 minutes long

Those are great stats. Kessel Who??? I think they will do just fine the rest of the way. But can you imagine next year once all these freshman get a little better after this year. I just called Senser's and they told me they are not taking any reservations for tonight. I have always been able to get reservations when I wanted them for a Sioux game. But i will be there. I am guessing they are going to be busy so get there early, have a beer and eat a steak.....We are playing the cows so eat a steak.

I have a question about the NCAA's. Last year the Sioux had to travel to Boston and there was a regional here in Minnesota, but the Goofs this year get to go to The Ralph where they will have a huge fan base for the games. Why are they not made to travel like the Sioux had to. Does the WCHA front office kiss there ass or is the NCAA that does. I think it is totally unfair. Just a thought and GO SIOUX. I will be at Senser's again, the wife talked me out of going to Grand Forks this weekend
