I'm not defending lucia or o'brian in anyway but this could happen to any team. somebody correct me if I'm wrong but didn't bochenski leave like in september of 2004, if not it was really late anyway. I just wish there were a deadline set by the NCAA or NHL in which players had to decide. I also do think the goophs will be fine and be a top 2 team in the league, behind our favorite squad.

I'm really not that concerned who thinks who willl finish 9th in the conference all I care about is the Sioux will finish 1st, take 2nd at the final five. be the number one overall seed in the tournament be placed in colorado springs. beat DU to go to the Frozen four and for the second straight year beat the goophs in overtime this time for #8. GO SIOUX!!!

I second thisI want us to be overwhelming favorites because that's what this program was built on, not being a second division team hoping to sneak up onsomebody if you want to root for that sort of team go cheer for SCSU or Michigan Tech. Being overwhelimng favorites is where I expect this team to be every year.

I had the same response when I booked my hotel room, the guy at the hotel had no clue what the frozen four was. it is really sad.

anyone know when season tickets will be mailed out or can be picked up?

I could be completely wrong but I think winning another gold and knowing he won't sniff a .500 record with the Blackhawks or come back to UND and have a shot at #8 and a 3rd WJC could have a huge impact on his decision to come back. I hope and pray for the best.

maybe I'm just missing something, but how can JT miss the last 3 weeks of school and still be in good standing academically? or is thi sjust a sign that academics don't matter because he is signing?

I just have this feeling Kozek my leave just because his development has come to a hault here and the thrashers might want to work with him.

if it it true he truly will be missed and I wish him the best at the next level. but we will survive, who would have thought three years ago after losing parise, bochenski and blaise we would have mad eit to the frozen four and the title game albeit. let's hope we don't lose too much more beyond toews and lee.

I agree think Lee took way too much criticism this year and I think will be missed next year if he does leave. I think he had the talent to become a very dominant offensive defenseman here where when on the power play he could have had a shot that people feared when he touched the puck ala vanelli or carle last year. I just wish he wouldn't have been so tenative at times and just come up and take a shot.

I've heard from some with connections close to the team that not a lot of the players like him either, maybe he is looking for a frsh start.

looks like we will open up against the defending national champions in th eHOF Game on oct. 13, I can't wait.

call me skeptical but I don't trust any player at this time of year and won't believe anything until I see players with my own two eyes in the lineup next fall. especially after last year's garbage of players saying I'm staying and then a few days later bolting.
