  1. There’s been plenty of documented outbreaks in confined or enclosed spaces. Outdoors not so much, except Mardi Gras, but they weren’t wearing masks and that also consisted of a number of bars and clubs that are indoors. Are you implying that minority health issues do not correlate with systemic racism?
  2. Do you disagree that mask wearing and being outdoors may have hindered the spread of covid at the protests?
  3. Thats Antifa? Just because some loonies are acting as security doesn’t mean that they are the leaders.
  4. Who, other than Trump and racist law enforcement, have said that CHOP is being ran by Antifa?
  5. https://apple.news/AjPuma4z5SH68JtGH07y3hg 100,000 people have flocked to Tulsa where an indoor arena will be packed for a MAGA rally with people not wearing masks, including our president. The Rona’s gonna be so thick from all the screaming they’ll be able to taste it. Sounds like a great way to peel that band aid off quickly so trump can just get it over with and catch covid.
  6. Why is it hard for you to believe he didn’t see the protestors? They were gathered behind a curve, he laid on his horn and slammed on the brakes. Thankfully there were a few in the crowd trying to protect him but to say the protestors stayed peaceful is dead wrong he was beat for minutes. Those protestors didn’t need to be on 35w and this was also another fail on MN state patrol for not barricading the highway.
  7. To me it looks like they might be trying to win trump back over.
  8. Yeah, I’ve shopped at both the lake street cub foods and target, not the nicest area before the looting and fires, can only imagine now.
  9. A little ridiculous situation down there. Police are taking the time to arrest reporters while they let their own precinct burn to the ground.
  10. Trump attacked Obama for golfing On Memorial Day weekend and trump does the same and also acts like a child on twitter and people are running to his defense. Cant even make this stuff up, at least we all get some entertainment out of all of this.
  11. I agree there should be no reason. But then we have this... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/mattperez/2020/05/21/trump-refuses-to-wear-a-face-mask-during-tour-of-ford-facility-in-michigan/amp/ and this... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1195611 who has politicized mask wearing?
  12. https://www.grandforksherald.com/newsmd/coronavirus/6504545-Gov.-Burgum-fights-back-tears-at-daily-press-conference-talking-about-wearing-masks Gov Burgum, you made my day yesterday. Thank you for not being afraid of crossing party lines and showing some empathy.
  13. Really? Ok I understand you were tired, but you really believe this is all to save one person? The US has lost almost 100,000 lives over a two month period.
  14. What is asinine about having the same standard for counting covid infections and deaths from state to state? Maybe if we didn't put a dog breeder in in to lead the pandemic task force? https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-usa-hhschief-speci/special-report-former-labradoodle-breeder-was-tapped-to-lead-u-s-pandemic-task-force-idUSKCN2243CE
  15. If only there was some sort of leadership that would have set a standard for all states. In other news some states have been found to be under-counting covid deaths... https://komonews.com/news/local/state-epidemiologists-covid-19-related-deaths-likely-being-undercounted-in-wa
  16. Why because he was shamed into doing it?
  17. This season’s ND flu stats can be seen here... http://www.ndflu.com/ im not the person who decides how many deaths are acceptable. I’d be curious how many you think would be considered unacceptable.
  18. We’re not losing 1500 Americans daily from the flu.
  19. The drive thru rule seems odd to most of us North Dakotans. But have you ever tried using the drive thru at McDonald’s in dinkeytown during the school year (before covid)?
  20. We could ask the guy from economic development call and check on the situation. He has the best relationship with the plant manager so sounds like a great plan. Seriously though? Stop packing people into places like sardines. Provide and require ppe to be used. Maybe even require the sick to stay home rather than encouraging them to come in to work. Mask wearing could go a long way too, but that might infringe on people’s civil liberties.
  21. How’d you come up with 99.7 because the death rate from the LM infection was worse? And how many more vulnerable were infected and have passed because of those avoidable outbreaks?
  22. We could start by working to eliminate the outbreaks at large gatherings and plants. But that drum’s getting too old to beat on.
  23. Totally reasonable and I agree. But with covid you could be asymptomatic, so extra measures should be taken.
  24. guns come with background checks, cars come with speed limits and seat belts, alcohol comes with limits you can’t drive drunk and you can’t be an idiot in public, tobacco well there’s an age limit, there’s such thing as burn bans when it’s windy, there’s lifeguards at pools, and you there’s times you don’t want to swim in the ocean when the sharks are in right? Would you like to see seatbelts removed from vehicles? How about no speed limits on the road? Get rid of the age limit on tobacco or let Marlboro start marketing to kids again? Lessened dui penalties?
