Serious answer. I've been very aware of the risks prior to March as I have a couple immunocompromised individuals in my family. Now that our country is losing roughly 1,000 lives/day to a novel virus that we have no idea of long term side effects, sure my concern has grown.

That's not my answer. My answer is a mask requirement since we know it can help slow the spread and allow our country to open back up.

Back in the 80s wasn’t there a handful that called HIV “the gay cancer”? Pretty in line with our president calling covid the “wuhan flu” no? I don’t recall masses of right wingers fighting for their right to spread HIV though. and we were reporting covid deaths through the CDC just like we were reporting flu deaths, until the White House made moves to make the covid counts less transparent, so there’s that!

So since the federal government failed to come up with uniform standards, it’s on the individual states for not counting covid testing in a uniform manner. Got it. Not sure what this mistake proves other than covid response in this country has been a $hit show.
