And I would bet very few hockey players who play some of their high school years away from home bag a lot of AP exams in high school that transfer into credits at some colleges. I suspect UND honors AP credits with a 4 or 5 on the test.

How well the new D corps performs is key next season, of course, but it will also be interesting to see what Wilke and Gersich bring next year. If Nick stays, expectations will be shy high for the top line (if Berry keeps them together), but it's almost unfair to expect those three to have the same chemistry CBS had, even with Jost's top-end talent. And CBS was so good at the possession game partly due to who was on the blue line. Knowing when to pinch is partly instinct, and Stecher and LaDue seemed to have that, Stecher particularly. -
If we added Bottineau, they would get to play in the Lumberdome twice a year for some old time hockey.

Excellent to hear he already has his degree. Go for it, Luke.

Gotta pull for Gornall in the mix somewhere. -
Congratulations to Luke, though. He had many doubters among Sioux fans, including me at times, but he proved his significant worth without lashing out at anyone, as far as I know. Hopefully he will prove his doubters wrong at the next level as well. Go get 'em Luke. (but maybe in a way that keeps you out of the box)

So, a rose, by any other name, would smell as sweet?

I'm glad you were upset for that reason. When I first read your response I thought you were probably anti-GLBT. I certainly am anything but, but I thought it best be left alone, since this is a hockey discussion and may not be the place for discussion of social issues, at least to the extent others did not ask for it.

I recall sitting above the partially completed bowl of the first Ralph with Larry Drader, who played for the Sioux, watching the work being done and visualizing what it would be like when complete. We were accustomed to the old barn and thought this new rink would never be outdated.

Thank you, stoney.

Forgive my laziness, but what was the deal with the mystery surrounding Tim Hennessey late last week? Did he make a change of some kind? Did he come out? OK . . . smiley. Not that there is anything wrong with . . . .

This program has always given us elite level players, but it always gives us less heralded "gamers" we could champion too, and sometimes they are the most loved players.

And to be clear (and serious), I liked what I saw of Gornall. Pulling for him this year.
-
I try. I really do.
-
Gfhockey texted me after bar time last night sayin Nick and Paul are both waiting to see what Gornall is going to do. He actually said "doorknob," but I figured he meant Gornall.

Pretty darn good account, Agent 99. I found it unusual about how LJ grew this year. He'd been with the team for over two years and seemed to be a known quantity. He got serious flak for being dumb, basically, which he is not. And I never saw him say or do things to convery anything other than commitment and loyalty to the team. And he delivered down the stretch in a big way. He deserved to be on the ice Saturday night. Hope he stays.

Natty pleasure for me is seeing how happy the players are-- and the fans. For me personally it passes pretty fast. I really like the first half of each year getting to see the new mix.

Are you serious??
-
Well yes, if you take burd literally, which is usually a mistake. But a guy can't use smileys all the time.

It's pretty certain Hak had a big role in Berry's hire. Given that Blais handpicked Hak, it's also pretty obvious that Hak is a better judge of what it takes to be a successful college hockey coach than Blais is.

Absolutely. Summer hasn't even started yet.

Week 7? - A bunch of UND fans (stay, though it was anybody's guess with 2 minutes left against DU). Kidding. Kidding.

I think it's a website for a Boon's Farm wholesale outlet in Tampa.

I'm dead certain that's gfhockey in the Union College sweater.
