Going into the weekend I was not encouraged. My fears came true last night. However, I'm very confident tonite. I think we'll do very well, and AA will take the beating they deserve. I guess I just doomed the Sioux.

Blais' most dominant teams in 1998 and 1999 failed to even make a Frozen Four. 2001-02 was a complete bust, as were too many of those freshmen. Blais was a great coach, but hardly perfect. His last team probably should have won a championship and didn't make the Frozen Four. I don't know all the answers but I'm hardly going to start giving Hak a negative comparison to Blais at this point.

Reading Hak's post game comments he said Oshie didn't look leg tired but Toews did.

A year or 2 ago it seemed this was the excuse every other game. This is the first time I remember hearing it this year. I can deal with it a time or 2 a seasons, but that's about it.

As disappointed as I am in the outcome, I take a couple of positives. 1. The guys put a LOT of shots on AA, but got out-goaltended. 2. They came back late and put some goals on AA. Hopefully they'll have some confidence coming into tonite's game.
