  1. Where's Vegas with the scouting report?
  2. We can nickname the checking line the "Bible Thumpers".
  3. You're a racist if one of your employees wears the hat in this case. Wow. I just drove through Boonsboro, Maryland. I didn't know how backward those people are.
  4. I would guess Kozek would get a chance to prove himself again. He got a fair shot on scoring lines at the beginning of last year. However, after the friday night Mankato game there were 3 of us hockey novices who agreed that he should be replaced on a scoring line as he appeared so ineffective. The following night that's exactly what happened. I like Kozek. I would LOVE to put him on that top line and let him shoot holes in the net. But he has to show it on the ice and so far I don't think he's made the most of his opportunity.
  5. Most of us (me included) assume Oshie and Duncan will play on the same line. For fun I thought I'd shake things up a bit: Frattin, Trupp, Oshie (If Frattin can score like Eidsness says...) Duncan, VandeVelde, Forney (Assuming Forney's healed up and ready to go) Malone, Watkins, Zajac (Malone and Watkins are 2 guys that can work the boards, we know Zajac can score) Kozek, Kaip, Radke Martens, Miller, Hextall
  6. The way I see it the Wild were probably wise to lay off these two. They already had a bust in AJ Thelan, do they really want to risk another 1st round selection on another unpredictable outcome? The Wild are neither a desperate team forced to take chances nor a loaded team that can afford to, IMO. They need to pick quality guys who will contribute, and yes, they have to have the character to fit into the present system.
  7. Somehow, when I saw Nick Coleman had written a column on Roy Saigo, I just knew this would come up: Wha?
  8. Brilliant! (How'd you think this one up?)
  9. "Sure he is....lookin'! Heh heh heh heh!" Oh, I loved the Muppet Show.
  10. I've heard enough outside of what I read on this forum to be concerned. I don't know if the problems are Bunings or the coaches, but I worry about what the outcomes may be, because I don't want to see great coaches like Lennon or Hakstol moving along because of the AD.
  11. Which would be good, because then you could monitor the Sioux Sports game threads from the press box and you'd know what's going on.
  12. Or at the very end of the line, someone calls or texts a couple of friends with game updates. Those friends don't need to tune in either. Where does all this change from unfairly using the information to it just being the changing landscape of information availability? I guess it's hard for me to say, but it seems like live blogging is not going too far.
  13. Maybe you just didn't state this clearly, but I don't think Toews is a US player....
  14. I don't think the issue is whether you disagree with someone who's been around longer. I think it's the manner in which the disagreement is communicated and how the new person comes across in their message.
  15. Now Sprig, that's just unexceptable.
  16. Don't forget that peach of a guy, Brad May.
  17. Do we really know that he's on our radar scope? The article made mention of a possibility he could wait for a scholarship offer from "Michigan or North Dakota" but it wasn't clear to me that these schools are actually chasing him, or that he's of a caliber to attract attention from top programs. ?
  18. I really dig that first one on your list.
  19. There was the rumor someone posted recently about Hamilton not being on the team anymore and Grieco going back to juniors. I'm not saying any of it is fact, but it's the only thing that would make that comment in the media guide make sense.
  20. I found it in on on-line dictionary with that spelling.
  21. I'll bite. I can't do this high tech art, but hopefully I can communicate my idea well enough. What I'm thinking of is silouhette of an Indian head, with SiouxSports.com implanted into the empty space, surrounded by the headress, etc. Take the feathers from this: Turn the image straight on instead of profile, and blank out the face. Then you would have the following perspective without the facial features. Use simple feather illustrations from the first image to keep things simple. Capiche?
