  1. And if there's an upset in the CCHA (Northern Michigan, UAF), if Maine/UNH wins HEA and/or if there's upsets in the ECACHL.
  2. The only other scenario I worry about is losing twice at the WCHA final five, especially if one of those losses were against (#45-ranked) UMD. I am not so sure we're in yet.
  3. I was there too (drove back to the Cities after the game to work on Monday AM). That night, the Sioux played with a kind of vengeance and intensity that was off the scale (66 shots on goal, and they kept at it for the full 60 minutes) even by their standards. I'd like nothing better than to see tonight's Sioux Bring It Hard for a full 60. Win or lose, play the game with desperation. There may not be a tomorrow.
  4. I didn't realize Oshie had moved into such elite company, with his 8th GWG of the season, he ties - Bryan Lundbohm - Bob Joyce - Phil Sykes Pretty dang good. http://www.fightingsioux.com/sports/mhocke...RELEASE_ID=4716
  5. This is deja vu ALL over again. Friday March 12, 1999, Mankato wins 3-2 in OT. Saturday, Sioux even it up. 6. Campion's dog got distracted watching the UMD mascot.
  7. http://www.warpradio.com/ call letters KDAL ... I love Ciskie.
  8. fightingsioux.com says 7:07
  9. Come on Dogs, kick their afff!!! 2-1 after 2.
  10. I think they make those rules up as they go.
  11. I think Campion should give his whistle to his dog.
  12. I don't like that a guy can just goof off for 90 seconds of a hockey game. That's just not what will fly here at UND. But the good news is there's time to work on the conditioning....
  13. Yeah, I was at the Fleet center and thinking how much fun it would be to watch UMD beat BC for the title in Boston, and ... um ... well ... sorry I brought up the topic. BUT CONGRATS on BEATING DU! That really DOES help UND, plus one more win would bump the Sioux into the Friday afternoon Semifinal - - IF we can beat the Mavs twice.
  14. Go Dogs Go. Beat those M@#$%er F#$#%&*ing Denver #I$#$%^&holes.
  15. yup still on for me
  16. Omaha lost and dropped from 6th to tie for 13th ... holy cow. Comeon guys, let's win this. New Hampshire wins in double OT ... little more help...
  17. Least we're getting a little help from other sources. Teams right above UND in the standings having a tough nite so far: SLU over Harvard (final) UAF over MSU 1-0 in progress (3rd by now?) NMU over UNO 3-1 in the 2nd
  18. Chris, thanks for the link. Good stuff. You're right, there is NOTHING better than watching hockey all day.
  19. Interesting. Got a weblink on that story?
  20. Gotta go with the home teams, much as I'd love to see an upset in the 1-2-3 vs 8-9-10 matchups, and move UND out of the 4-5 playin game, I can't see it. Sweep Mavs and I think we're into the NCAA's. Take 2-3 and it will require perhaps 2 wins at the X. Mankato's top line makes me very nervous - Backes would be on the top line of any team in the nation.
  21. I just think a gifted scoring forward should get more than 7 points even strength** over the course of the WCHA season. In the other 24 games**, that's all Phil got. http://www.uscho.com/stats/gamebygame.php?...52006&details=1 Oshie, 13 in 26 games**. Toews, 13 in 26 games**. I think the ROTY of the year should be an effective 2-way player not just a powerplay specialist. Oshie and Toews qualify, Kessel doesn't. ** ex-cherry picking vs UAA.
  22. And we get to whip Mankato again. Fri 03/12/1999 L 2 MSU-Mankato (nc) 3 ot Box 7:35 CT (3) Sat 03/13/1999 W 3 MSU-Mankato (nc) 2 Box 7:35 CT (4) Sun 03/14/1999 W 10 MSU-Mankato (nc) 0 Box 7:35 CT (5)
  23. The band must be REALLY tired from playing the 'Beer' song
  24. Prpich! 5-0!! WHOO HOO GO SIOUX!!
  25. 3 goals in 2:17!!!!
