I could not have been the only person to notice this...the sioux fans are the one's that are obsessed with gophers. this is a post about gophers for 17 pages so far!! it's rediculous. i come here to find new things about the SIOUX program, and all i can find is new things under the kessel post from gopher-addicted sioux fans.... i wonder if either the betty ford clinic or hazelton has an opening for this?

dont worry about oshie until next year, i actually think he could be (not likely) a three year player...hes listed at 5th at his position on the st. louis depth chart. and as for "if chicago wants him, he will sign" thats not true...Jack Johnson, they are trying to get these guys to sign for nhl play, its not slavery...sometimes the players(top ranked ones) say no, and they are wanted next year again

im pretty sure it is, kaip's # was 43 and i can see a 3 and it looks like him. but also there is a d man by the name of brian lee there...weird! thats actually what the caption of that photo says as to whom the forwards (little and hamilton) are passing, im pretty sure its misprint since those two are on the same team as that brian lee.

thats true. i dont know about anybody else, but i havent heard about um punishing the guys for blarney's. and the other thing with kessel leaving, im sure that he would love to go. its up to the bruins about when he comes though. im confident that he will go

I have a question about M lammy. i dont mean offense to him by this, but is he really that good to get a scholarship offer that early? im just saying because i have seen his USHL stats and they arent that impressive...but i know he must be pretty good because i trust the coaches and that he is wanted by red deer too.

I heard he was waiting to see how they treated Phil.. With JP gone, Phil will get a fair shake. Expect Mario to sign.

i have a feeling that he will go because he is obviously not happy at the u of m and if he is not happy, then he wont do as well at the U.

Are there any "big time" recruits left for 07? The 07 lists for Mich/MN/Wisc are pretty full.

http://www.insidecollegehockey.com/7Archiv...kessel_0443.htm according to this, toews told chorney(who told INCH) that unless Chicago "backs him into a corner" he'll be at UND another year...im not really sure how they could do that because im sure that both toews and chicago are trying to keep each other happy. anyways...this appears to be good news. with all the top players staying this season we will at least not have to think too much about whether or not they are staying! there are going to be a lot of players leaving next year, with U of M leading the way hopefully.

there are still plenty of guys to step up on forward...duncan, oshie, fabian, kozek, watkins...and i am confident that dajac and forney will kick ace. i am also optomistic of bishop and vandy too. im not saying that if toews leaves that this team will be better than the team would have been with all of the players staying that left...that would be crazy, if everyone would have stayed i would have put UND at a near guarantee to win it all... thats not the case ever, but this team will certainly be in the running, im confident in that.

everybody keeps saying that UND is going to be suffering because everybody is focusing on the losses and not looking at whos staying and whos coming in. UND will still be one of the most talented teams even with the losses of 5-7 players to pros. BTW... so it could be early august when we hear if toews stays?? that sucks (since canada camp is late july)

i think what he is trying to do is make norfolk sound better than it is and make toews shy away from UND. he knows that UND has great hockey, he might be a dumba$$ but he's not an idiot

i dont know about crapping their pants! but i have been looking at past season's signings and it seems as though there are a lot of signings in august and even september. i was looking at INCH's archives fyi.

so that would mean that we will hear the news on toews real soon...im still optomistic he stays at UND, because i would doubt if they would want him to play NHL this early

thanks for the article PCM...i must say that im starting to like toews a lot because of all the sweet talking of UND... however i do realize his departure is very likely, but if he stays next year he'll for sure be my favorite player. BTW, was he talking about being captain of the sioux as a sophmore?? that was the sentence that messed me up.

Next year we don't need to depend on Freshmen. Last year UND had 13 freshmen and needed to depend on them. Next year UND will have one of the best groups of defensemen in college hockey. 6 experienced defensemen, I bet our overall league record will be better than the last 2 years. That doesn't mean we will get as far in the playoffs. People are to in love with high powered offense. Look at the last NCAA champs have been Wisconsin and Denver.

i honestly feel that marvin and christian arent losses for UND...look at what kind of talent we have on the boards for the next coming years...i dont know that UND was trying super hard for those two. but i could be wrong...anyway we need to start focusing more on uncommitted. on another note...with all of the players going pro from UND, to me that makes UND look even better than anyone else...if i was a top D1 recruit, it would be between 5 powerhouse schools at the most, because they can pump out those nhl players. IMO UND is THE school to be at for kids who want to go pro.
