  1. You did a real good job there covering tihis story from the begining Pat. Keep up the good work. I also wish Coach Hakstol the best of luck this upcomming season. Trust me the kid needs it. I can get away calling Coach Hakstol a kid after all i'm over 50. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  2. All I want to say is thanks coach for the memories & the championships. I have been a UND "FIGHTIN SIOUX" HOCKEY FAN for 30 years hey so i'm giving everybody my age here. Anyway, you have made this GATOR one proud SIOUX HOCKEY FAN. Don't laugh folks there are folks that graduated from UF that have follow UND HOCKEY. You see what I have started. Thanks again coach for everything. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  3. I'm not sure if anybody else has post this or not so please forgive me. With due respect I would like to know if anybody knows the 2004-2005 schedule & if so would they pleae be kind enough to post it please. Thank you. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  4. Looking back all I can say this run for the cup was one hell of a ride. You have to agree that the Tampa Bay Lighting have come along way. Who have though this when the team was form back in 1990 that in less than 15 years they would have won the cup. Now with that said, this series that has just been completed (please forgive me for my lousy spelling) it was one hell of a series. Everyone who either watch the series on either TV or live did get there money's worth. All I can is that if there is a work stopage like I have been hearing & I hope that doesn't happen but if it does at least there's "UND FIGHTIN SIOUX HOCKEY." Also I would like to give a special congrats to Calgary for giving us on hell of a series. Better yet thank both teams for giving us one hell of a series. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973.
  5. First redwing77 I agree with on your post. Second, Lord Stanley's Cup will be spending a lot of time at the beach getting a tan. Third I also had mixed emotions I went with the LIGHTING & also I wanted Mike to Win the cup so he could take the cup to Grand Forks. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973.
  6. Hey bigmrg74 to answer your question on Marty the answer is yes I should at least know comming for the Tampa Bay Area. Second last night's game overall if anybody there in Calgery said they didn't get there money's worth from watch game six then they have something wrong with them. Well, i'm off to camp out for those $8.00 tickets again & I hope to see everybody there Monday night. Win or Lose the Lighting gave it one hell of a ride. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  7. We're going into double OT with the score Lighting 2 Flames 2. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  8. 2.11 left in the second period Lighting 2 Flames 2 can't remember the name of the person who tie it but that's the score so far SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  9. 9.08 left in the second period Brad Richards scores on the pp goal score Lighting 2 Flames 1 SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  10. If anybody would have told me that Richards goal in the first period was going to be the only score of the game I would have though you nuts. Well it was & let's agree "LIFE HAPPENS." Well as we speak my newphew is camp out at the Foram (please excuse my lousy spelling) for those $8.00 tickets. Grand you they are up there in the nose bleed section but it's not everyday you go to a Stanley Cup Final. I still believe that this series is going seven. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  11. Hey #1siouxfan22 & Sweeny, I would love to see that also. Down here so far the stanley cup has shut all of those GATOR & NOLE Football fans who for one don't have a clue about hockey itself & two saying the football players are in better shap. Yeah right if you believe that have i got a deal for you. Some swamp land I would like to sell you. Let's face hockey is far better sport than football will ever be if you ask me. As for this series it's going seven & there are more fireworks yet to come. Oh yes before i forget they are broadcasting the remaining games on TV down here. That's a good thing because there are some folks who can't get tickets for the game so it's the next best thing. Not to mention the big screen TV's outside the foram on game day. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  12. Hey Ruff I agree as long as Tampa wins but if you ask me the way these two teams are playing this series just might go seven . Then Lord Stanley's Cup will finally get that tan. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973.
  13. That's right there were only 200 & it's 200 for tommorrow nights game.
  14. Well congrations (I think I spell that right if not please forgive me for my lousty spelling.). Anyway, Minnesota Norht Star for finally comming around to picking the LIGHTING to win the cup. I say this series will go seven & the reason being that these teams are more alike than anything I have seen over the years. I want to see Mike Commodore do good in this series. I just might get to sign that SIOUX jersey for me. Hey it's just a though. Well, I hoping for the best & I have my newphew camp out at to get some $8.00 tickets for tommorrow nights game. So "GO LIGHTING" & Lord Stanley 's cup needs a tan. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973.
  15. With all due respect to everybody on this here board, I just want to say the this here series between the LIGHTING vs the FLYERS was a donnybrook. Furthermore, I can at least say that I did get my money's worth from this series. Now on to the finals. The Calgary Flames vs the Tampa Bay Lighting. I'm going with the LIGHTING the reason is that for one I'm from the Tampa Bay area. I'll say that the series will go seven. I don't know who said this but the comment was both teams play like the SIOUX. I hope that who ever said that comment is right on the money. So in closing "GO LIGHTING." SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973 P.S. is Virg Foss going to cover the Stanley Cup finals for the Herald? If so please let me know something on that thank you.
  16. With all due respect to everybody on this here board, i'm going with the Lighting because i'm from the Tampa Bay Area & I would love to see Calgary in the end because of Mike playing for them. Hey Ruffian thanks for the email & I will get back with you later on. So the battle for the cup begins today & I hope to see everybody there. In closing. GO LIGHTING SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  17. Well the only good thing about the Redwings be out of the playoffs is that Lighting now have home ice advantage throughout the playoffs. Second, Ruffian to answer you questions thery are fairly simple. First you're about 30-45 mintue drive from where I live on I-4. I live in Thonotosassa for which is just before you get to Plant City from Tampa. Third, I did go to a couple of Lighting games this year for the first time. The reasons were simple. First my mother who just passed away a couple of months ago for whom I was taking care of had alizheimer's for a long time. Not only that I have finally gotton to move around after having a stroke. I hope that answer your questions. Now as for this series between philly vs leafts I'm hopping for philly, but in this game anything can happen. In closing all I would like to say is just for fun course, GO LIGHTING. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973.
  18. Ruffian I have a question. You said the you have Lighting season tickets, I have to asked this. Just what part of the Tampa Bay Area are you from? SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  19. First, izzi6 be careful what you wish for because it just might come true. With all due respect to everyone on the board, I would like to say that a Red Wings vs Lighting series is if anything too close to call. Second Red Wing77 I think I have gotten that right if I didn't please forgive me. You made some very good points concerning Philly vs Toronto series. I don't who said that Tampa isn't a hockey town well they're right on that it took the Lighting a spell to get the fans in the arena but that was the same with the BUCS & look what happen to them. Red Wing77, I agree I would like to see college hockey down here I would love to see "THE FIGHTIN SIOUX" down here for a series, but the problem is that the schools won't support a division 1 team. They say they don't have the money. Yeah right then again this is a football state. Most of the fans down here want to see a Lighting vs Philly series. all I can say is let's just wait & see who we will be playing. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  20. SIOUXFAN, GOON, I will be the first to tell you about tell last night's game between the LIGHTING playing the HABS well no one was watching the baseball game last night. Every bar in town was focus in on the LIGHTING last night. I'm getting tickets for the next series whoever they play. I hope to see you gentlemen there. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  21. Hey USA I have to agree with you on Jason Blake. The reason is that he play on whale of a game Saturday. I should know I went to that game & the St. Pete Times Form was rockin & Jason was doing the rockin. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973.

Say what you want think what you want but tonight's game is going to be both good & tough. Also i would also like to stress if the "FIGHTIN SIOUX" play like they did against Holy Cross then we're going to be in for a long night & lord helps us all. So "GO SIOUX & LET'S TAKE THIS ONE & GO ON THE ROAD TO BOSTON & TAKE BOSTON TOO. SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973
  23. Let me start out by say that PCM can't be that old. Why he hasn't received anything from AARP. I know about AAPR because I do receive material from them. Well anyway, this was a great weekend for the "FIGHTIN SIOUX" now we gotten the cup out of our system. Now we can forcus on the serious part of the season. The Post Season. All I can say let's take it one team at a time. Better yet the road to Boston goes through GRAND FORKS. FIGHTIN SIOUX SINCE 1973
  24. First, hey PCM please forgive me for being a lousy speller at least i'm honest enough to admit that. Second, I want to thank everyone for the kind words such welcome back & so forth. After all most of ya'll are kind of like family to me. That's something I have never forgotten & will always remember. Third, let's go out & WIN THE MacNaughton Cup & bring back to Grand Forks where it belongs. FIGHTIN SIOUX FAN SINCE 1973.
  25. First & formost, I would like to take the opportunity of thanking Sprig for checking up on me I really do apperiate that a whole lot. Second, this weekend series some are say a sweep. What's that old saying "don't count your chickens before there hack." I think I have gotten that right if not please forgive me. Third, is the game going to on satlite or direct tv? If anybody knows could you please be kind enough to let me know thank you. A "FIGHTIN SIOUX" FAN SINCE 1973.
