  1. 5 - 0 Menver over the goofer nation!!!! Faggie looks horrible! He's not seeing the puck at all.
  2. YUP!! Had the one glove covering his face so you wouldn't hit him in the mask, again! That's why he was laying on his side.
  3. Just broke that goalie's will to play with that goal! It looked like a practice game with your kid brother on the back pond. You're going to score on him, you just don't want make the kid feel too bad.
  4. Nice cheap shots you assclowns!! Nice to see LaPoint get back in there and start throwing knuckles!!
  5. GEN-o-way got caught in waaaaay too deep! Forney with an Oshie like stand up of a CC defensemen that was looking to lay him out.
  6. HEY!! What was I saying earlier today? The coaches are going to have a hell of a decision!! It's just great to have suck problems!!
  7. I can't get more than 2 or 3 seconds of video, constant freezing, non-stop buffering. This makes me so G DAM mad I could spit!!!! Oh, now we're "transitioning". I hate these people for teasing us with service year in and year out.
  8. Exactly my point and question. After watching last weekend's games, to some of us novices, LaPoint played his arse off and there was no way he should be pulled. But then you hear Marto has been busting his balls in practice, earning himself a shot. It has to be a hell of a call, but really great for the program and player development. Every practice during the week is like final cutdown tryouts and the reward is to play on the best team in college hockey. I guess it will all come down to how they all practiced this week. And I'll continue my Forney Fan club boosting and hope that he had a good week in practice and SKATED like hell all week. Now that he's got his shot, it would be a shame to lose it because of lack of conditioning. Still say that kid is the breakout player of the year for returning players. Trupp and Frattin are going to have to duke it out for Frosh of the Year.
  9. Forwards aside, I think the biggest line-up question for tonight and the weekend is with the D Corp. After watching both of last weekends games, LaPoint REALLY made a strong case for that last full-time spot. And it's not as if Marto has been tripping on the blue line, he's played some good hockey so far when he's been in. So the question(s) are: do you play LaPoint tonight and Marto Saturday? Do you give Marto a shot tonight, based on practice this week? OR, and this could be our very own quarterback controversy, do you sit one of the other guys Saturday night based on Friday's game? Like I said, just my opinion (which ain't worth much), but the Sioux coaching staff tend to reward good play in games AND practice and after last weekend it would be really tough to sit LaPoint. So to the second option, which of the current defensemen would the coaches think about sitting? Chorney, Bina and Finley are no-brainers. So would they sit Jones or Genoway (again, assuming LaPoint plays both nights) if they had an off Friday night? Man, it has to be dam hard coaching when you have SO MANY incredibly talented players to pick from. Just another day for the Fighting Sioux coaches.
  10. Completely agree about Forney!! I don't what it is about this kid, but I can't help pulling for him and really want to see him make a huge contribution this year. Maybe it's all the injuries and him never really getting a chance to show Sioux fans how good he could play. But I really think this is going to be his breakout year and he's going to drop in 10 - 15 pucks. I had the same feeling last year about Vandevelde (along with many posters here) and although he didn't net as many pucks, I would say he was a major force going into and during the post season. I WILL buy a "Me SOOO Forney!" t-shirt when he hits 5 goals. As for who sits, I'm off the Radke hatin'. Hak won't play him is he's making poor decisions and not scoring, Forney plays like he did last week and it won't even be a contest. As always, THANK YOU PCM! For those of us living "behind the goofer nation" lines it's great to feel like we're back in good old GF and NoDak listening in.
  11. They have a "2 good goalies so we alternate" situation. Exlak came in to start the 3rd and I thought played a better game, but the it was pretty much out of hand by then. He just kept it from getting really ugly. But you're right, the game I watched last night the guy looked like he took lessons from Mr. Mioggi and was using the Force to stop everything! He was on fire and I was pretty surprised to see the coach still go with the other guy. I bet Exlak is the main starter in a month or so.
  12. Yea, it's one thing to listen to the Rug and booger, but to get to hear Dubay have to explain why they played so $hitty was just great! He's alway such a cock when he comes up to the REA to watch games. One year he was standing outside one of the lux boxes talking smack to the fans over the ledge. Never been able to listen to Vikings Fanline since, and the way they are playing this year it's probably for the best anyway. But they were back in usual form after last night's sweep of the buckeye. Couldn't blow enough sunshine up Frazee's a$&, they make him sound like the second coming. He is the definition of the golden choker.
  13. It was, they kind of looked like us on Friday night, just not clicking and having a hard time with bounces. I thought CC looked fast and was passing the puck well, but I wasn't paying too close of attention, watching the Sioux games on the net. You're right though, they will come to play, especially since it's in our barn on a big weekend. But then again that's every weekend we play. Ha!
  14. Yup, that's what scares me. Like i said, they looked really good when they swept the goofer nation last weekend. Then the goofs bounce back and sweep Ohio State thursday and Friday.
  15. Wow! CC dropped 2 to New Hampshire. You can tell this is early season, really weird swings from one weekend to the next.
  16. They'll be on the bus asap and back to good ole GF tonight. Lots of movies to watch: Tommy Boy, Blades of Steel, Animal House, Fletch...
  17. Hak giving Forney the props!! Nice.
  18. AMEN!! That's what we expected to see every night from this team. I thought LaPoint had a helluva game, made it to the #1 PP. I thought the way Genoway was swinging at the end of the game he was trying to get tossed so Marto could get in next week. Like you said, the way LaPoint played it's going to be dam tough for him to get back into a regular nightly switch off. Finley had a great game too, he was on the ice for about 98% of the game. Real warrior out there tonight. Best thing was to see THE Oshie and Duncan get on track and find the back of the net often. I feel like the Forney cheering section, but I thought he had a really good game too. Wasn't afraid to throw a check and really had some nice set-up passes. Hopefully he can keep it up in practice and become a 4th line regular. I'm going out on a limb, I DO think he is going to one of the break out players of this year. Him, Frattin and Trupp.
  19. Northeastern did it last weekend too. Obviously not REAL hockey fans, you don't just toss the salute around like that, especially when you lose AND get shut out.
  20. Techie announcer said Hak had Finley out there every other shift, just in case.
  21. REALLY getting bad out there now. Duncs completely hacked in front, 2 handed the guy in the back of the legs and that started 3 or 4 different fights. Let's get this over NOW and get the hell out of town before we lose someone for next weekend.
  22. Going to be tough for Radke to get back in as well. Especially since Forney has been throwing some good checks as well as making some nice offensive plays. I'd really like to see that kid get his first goal tonight!!
  23. LOTS of lumber being thrown around now! Zajac just demolished one of the engineering kids with an awesome hip check.
  24. Agreed! I said last night he looked like he was a mid soph speed already. I hope we can keep him for 3 years. He will be amazing by then.
