  1. Sioux look good so far, lots of speed and the passing has been pretty crisp. Technies are playing the same old grab the s&!t out of them so they don't beat you game. Good defense, boring as hell to watch.
  2. He has really been turning it up a notch, he's the real deal. Will be a big time player for the Sioux for the next 3 years, hopefully.
  3. Saw this story in a local MN paper on-line, Sauk Centre. Soph named Austin Plaine. Really haven't heard this kids name mentioned much at all, but after reading the story he sounds like he could be worth looking at after this season. And, "...his ultimate dream is to play hockey for the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux." Off to a pretty good start numbers wise, 26 points in 13 games. His team (Prairie Centre North Stars) beat St. Paul Academy 5-4 last week and his line had all 5 goals, he had 3 A. And sounds like a good hard working kid who still really just loves to play the game. http://www.saukherald.com/main.asp?Section...amp;TM=63332.54
  4. Great character win for the boys tonight. They needed this, and it needed to be more than a 2 goal win. I thought they handled the puck a lot similar to last night, but just got the breaks tonight that didn't bounce their way last night. D looked better tonight, but Genoway's gotten into a bad habit of stabbing at the puck, giving up some horrible odd man rushes. Finley just abused people all night!! We were 9 rows up RIGHT next to the student section, Finley went behind the net had the puck with one hand threw a shoulder/elbow and sent the Clownie flat on his back! Line shake up seems to have done the trick, but I am still missing what Miller and Martens bring to the ice. I'd like to see Malone back on the all rookie line with Trupp and Frattin, they looked much better together last night. The tallies tonight were all great goals. We were in the 2nd period end and right in front for Oshie's goal, it was a thing of beauty. VV's roofer was in out so fast it didn't even move the water bottle. But the absolute best part of tonight's game, for this humble fan, was watching the Sioux after the Clownie's scored - they came back with relentless pressure. As the saying goes, that first shift after a goal is critical for both teams. The Sioux did the same after their goals, but they really seemed to get an extra jump after a big Clownie rush or after the 2 goals. That has not been the case on a consistent basis this season. Even though a sweep would have been better, I take that as a major step forward and maybe 'the' defining moment as the start of the stretch run. Guess we'll see next weekend against the Engineer Students who happen to play hockey.
  5. I'm off to the game right now. Look for LOTS of Sioux fans in the crowd an Oshie onslaught!!! Hope to see some of you there!
  6. Sioux, with the exception of Lammy, took a period and a half off and still come out with a heck of a big win. I have watched every game (that was broadcast or webcast) and I don't remember seeing the Sioux as out hustled as badly as they were tonight. It was really noticeable in the 2nd, they were standing around and getting beat to the puck all over the ice. Guys looking at one another with a "are you going to get it or should I" hesitation that I have also not seen all season. They have been "off" in some of the other games or had bad puck luck, but they were still skating hard as hell all 3 periods. That 30 minutes half way through the 1st and the entire 2nd was WAY out of character for this team and I hope it was just a case of big game premature ejac, the boys just got a little too UP for the big game. I would say the "come to jesus" in the lockerroom could have been a season turning moment for the team because they completely turned it around in the 3rd. Great to see the goals come from the other lines, Congrats to Malone for his 1st. Would also say that's the best game the goof pucksters have put together this season, and since I'm stuck behind enemy lines, I've watched quite a few of their games on Goofer Sports Network North. And I hate to admit this, but The Booger actually had a good observation. Before the Sioux scored, they couldn't hit a pass to save their lives. As soon as the GEN-o-way goal went in, everything was tape to tape and they were clicking just like we've seen many times this season. Now let's see the same 3rd period team come out tomorrow night and put together a complete game. Dumb-ay said a least 5 times that the Sioux, "...are usually lazy and take Saturday night's off, so the Goofs should be able to come back tomorrow night and get an easy win." I guess he didn't hear about last week in Denver, or in Wisconsin, or Mich Tech or Northeastern - when the Sioux came back to play and WON on those Saturday night games. Do your homework you hack. Oh, and the fact that the last memory from tonight will be the 3rd period meltdown when they fell apart and let in 5 goals (I still count the helmet off goal). Hak will have the boys fired up. It'll be great to watch Dumb-ay eat his smarmy cheap shots. Nice gut check 3rd period. Great character win for Lammy. Really great to see "other lines" throwing up points. I think this is "the game" that turns it around for the Sioux at home and the rest of the season. See you tomorrow night! GO SIOUX!!
  7. See the idiot doing the Dork Wheeless jersey pop in the background? Somone should Perp him between the legs, wait, probably not much to stop the a stick. This happens to the Fox morons every year, you would think they would learn.
  8. A-M-E-N brother!!! Besides the win, I was really happy to see them skating and passing the puck so sharp. Everything was tape to tape. Yup! A win makes for a very happy Sioux faithful!
  9. I'm up in northwest, Maple Grove, I took the ruler out on the deck and it was over 9 inches just before game time. The news just said there were 238 accidents in the Mpls/St. Paul metro!! People are morons during the first storm. GREAT day to own a tow truck!
  10. God I love that guy! It's a Festivus MIRACLE!
  11. For the REST OF US!!! WHERE'S MY POLE?!?!?!
  12. Now that's just mean, plain nasty. Mpls is at about a foot, maybe a little more. It will be morons on ice ALL day long tomorrow.
  13. Another thing that this band of idiots has culled in their herd is the stripes making "statements" with their calls. When one of those idiots has to scowl and point at the player when he makes the call you can just tell that he's calling it against the player, and not because it was a simple penalty. Mason is one of the worst at this, and of course the blind Shepherd, especially when calling them against Sioux players. Hey, egomaniac, the game ain't about you. It's about the players and the product they put on for the fans. Drives me insane!
  14. OH! I thought Duncan was going to get the empty netter!
  15. I couldn't be more proud. Well, not at least until he steps on the ice for the first time in a FIGHTING SIOUX jersey!
  16. This is a little bit late in the game, but here's a tech nerd solution that I used last weekend during the football game. It actually came from their web help section. But it has really made my webcasts a LOT better. Maybe it will help for next weekends games. ------------- 20. When I click on an event link at game time I get the message
  17. I think it did once during the first period, but I wasn't sure if it was the webcast or my 20 month old little guy chanting "LET'S GO SIOUX!!" and bumping the laptop.
  18. This Larson guy is a complete teebag! "The Sioux are barely hanging on right now." What an idiot! The Sioux just spent 2 minutes cycling the puck in front of the Pio net. What a toolbox!
  19. I've been watching the entire night and this is the absolute BEST webcast I have ever watched! Clear as can be and not a single skip all night.
  20. Great stat sheet! Thanks for research! Wow! Gregoire off to a monster start!! Looks like Sioux Falls is the team to beat this season. And Blood just be on the power play or getting some serious playing time. Both would be great, but in any case it's great to see him on the board with a respectable number of assists. Is it Friday yet? These off weeks really are tough to take.
  21. Coach Captain Amazing, First of all, I apologize for the graphic language, I was merely speaking in terms I thought you would best understand.
