  1. I would say 30 is a good accurate number. I like the camaraderie that everyone shows. They are working hard, getting in lots of reps but at the same time playing smart so as not to injure themselves or others.

  2. I always just walk right in when the northwest gate is open and they are practicing, and I usually sit in the stands. Sometimes I stand on the track or sidelines and chat with the DAZ or Herald boys, if they're around.

  3. Took my daughter to swimming lessons at UND pool tonight and wandered over to Memorial for a few minutes. The boys were out playing 7 on 7, and as I took my seat on the running track in the shade, Tillman took a pick 6 about 55 yards the other way. The QB saw a brief opening and tried to zing it in there, but "Till" closed quick, stepped in front and he was gone. That man is seriously cut as far as muscle tone and looks to be showing some leadership out there. That's about all I saw in the brief time I was there tonight.

  4. Interesting. On the surface, seems like a very very good hire. A head coach from a Division I program with multiple trips to the tourney in the last few years is taking the UND head coaching job instead of some mere assistant coach from an up and coming program, which is often the case with these kind of situations at UND. Lots of work to do. But this looks like a good start.

  5. Almost laughable that the NCAA allows the Summit to send a team from a four team conference.

Reading Brown's quotes in the Forum you would think they just made the CWS. Have some perspective of what you really accomplished.

I have a lot of respect for Coach Brown. I think he is fully aware of what he has and has not accomplished. He trashed his team pretty good and gave full cred to UND after their second loss to us. All that said, it would be fun to see how they would fair in the WAC.

  6. Or just sit on it and then hold a press conference saying you can't play the game.

Yeah, you're right. I could see GT pulling something like that. Or he could just summon his media lap-dog buddies, Caillou and Izzo; they would stumble all over themselves with tweets and instaposts to get the word out for him as soon as he flashes the "Stream Yellow" bat signal.

  7. How the myth goes . . .

BF informs media. Media seeks out GT. BF provides information to the Media, ensuring that the media will seek out GT to ask specific questions about what BF told them. The media confronts GT, and he is put on the spot to answer questions setup by BF. It has happened over, and over, and over and over, and over . . . as this is BF mode of operation.

How it usually goes. . .

Media approaches BF. His response . . . we are in contact working on a deal, hoping to get something done. Nothing to report yet, but we'll let you know when something has been finalized. Thanks for asking.

    FIFY.

  8. You Bison don't even know your own smack? If you're going to poke fun at someone, you should at least understand the joke. According the the Bison faithful, it's NOT _nd, it's un_. According to some, we have no D (defense). Unbelievable, I gotta educate the trolls. :D

Yeah, T-Rex. I was thinking the same thing. Kinda funny when they're not well versed on their own trolling talking points!

  9. I don't get how BF responding to queries from the media is construed as "crying to the media" or having "media on speed dial. It is BF's duty to respond to questions from the media/ public when the information being sought is not protected by privacy laws i.e. FERPA, etc.

The same goes for GT. I don't automatically assume that when I read a story in the media that quotes GT that he was the one that is crying to the media. I know that he is responding to a request for info from the media. Same goes for BF. These assertions to the contrary, without evidence, are absurd.

  10. Schlossy doesn't say anywhere in his story that they were obtained in an open records request, like previous stories have included.

Why does it have to be an official open records request? The reporter simply asks BF or GT if there has been any correspondences between the two, and if there has been, the reporter asks if he/she can see them. The AD (whomever is asked), in this case, scrubs the documents of any protected, private information and hands over the public documents. Easy peasy. Not everything has to be a big production.

  11. There have been some issues in the past year regarding the EERC, and this is also the guy who has been arrested for threatening firefighters with a shotgun when they came out to extinguish a grass fire he had started on his property, and domestic violence against his wife. I have a feeling that UND has a sufficient reason for putting him on leave, but I do wish that they would be more transparent about it.

I'm sure future legal issues that are sure to ensue preclude that kind of transparency ... even in the public arena.

  12. According to a tweet from Wayne Nelson, the Root Sports football schedule is out, and includes no UND football games for 2014.

Check the thread on Future Schedules.

  13. I'm letting this bush league know about it on twitter

Are we the only team to get shafted 2 years in a row

Watch your spelling, please, or they won't lend you much credence. ;)
