Once again I find myself in agreement with yzerman 19. I'll add two thoughts as additions, not corrections nor disagreements: 1. We are leaving way too many opponents wide open and all alone in the slot. I don't know if the d-men are simply losing track, or if our forwards need to step up their play. But it's been a problem that leads directly to easy goals and needs to be fixed a.s.a.p. The Sioux did a good job of clearing the slot in the second period last night, but the third was more of the same; and 2. When I look at the extreme talent this team has at both forward and on defense, I can't help but wonder why we've not been able to land a world-class goaltender. I've not felt completely comfortable about any Sioux goalie since the new Ralph opened. The fact that Eddie was honored before Friday's game just pushed the issue to the frontal lobe again.

Adding another team to D-I hockey is huge, regardless of what it does to existing conference memberships. I hope Penn State's move gives impetus to other successful club programs to make the step. I would really like to see 65-70 teams, but I doubt I'll see that in my lifetime.

I wonder what leaving the WCHA (and the resulting schedule) would do to Minnesota's Strength of Schedule component when it comes to Pairwise? If they fill their non-BTHC with cupcakes, they might find themselves woefully deficient.

Yes; UND will be compliant, as they were a party to the settlement with the NCAA. However, as The Ralph is neither owned nor managed by the University, they were not a part of the deal, and are under no obligation to do anything with the logo until, I'm sure, they are ordered to do so by the copyright owner. Don't conflate two entities.
