Can someone explain to me what the hell is going on? CRAIG SMITH is not a FINALIST? And Randall Herbst is? Tell me this isn't true. And who is Ralston? I really hope this is all just a bunch of B.S.

In a nutshell, majority of those surveyed want to stay in Division II. It actually wasn't very close. I've seen the survey results. Quite surprising.

That's an interesting question. UND is still on Mesa States schedule. I'm guessing that some $ will need to change hands soon.

Panther's official website has UND @ Northern Iowa on September 9th. The following week, the Panthers play host to SDSU. Very interesting.

Concerning Craig Smith: 1. He knows the UND program, and its players 2. He knows the NCC inside and out 3. Young 4. Energetic 5. Great in-game tactician 6. Best recruiter in the state 7. Innovative 8. Strong local ties 9. Very passionate about basketball 10. Perfect guy to lead UND BB back to National prominence and possibly into D-1.

Very well said. If you spend five minutes speaking to Craig Smith, you realize quickly he knows what he is talking about. Passionate, energetic, driven, and youthful. Rich Glas is going to take the UNI job. It will most likely be a done deal by Friday the 21st. UND and Tom Buning need to move quickly on Craig Smith. This is a no-brainer. And as for the players backing Randall Herbst, that is to be expected. That is what players do. They feel a loyalty to the program, and at the same time have a fear of the unknown. Some of the current UND players need to look in the mirror and ask themselves how Mayville State rolled in here and beat the Sioux on their home court.

That's a good one. But does anyone have the video from the last game played at the Old Ralph where Andy nearly killed the kid from U of Manitoba? They used to play it at The Ralph.

I don't know what I'm more jealous of: not being in Milwaukee or not being in Naples or Fort Myers. The two most beautiful places in Florida. Except for the traffic.

Matt Gratzek of Stephen-Argyle should be a high priority for UND right now. The first day of home visits is December 1st, and NDSU has already made an appointment for a meeting at the Gratzek home. He is the real deal. A man amongst boys. A motor that does not stop, and a mean streak between the whistles that you can't teach. Also, a 4.0 student. UND would be wise not to screw this up. And to make matters worse, St. Cloud State has entered the picture and made it a three team race.
