it is good to keep the superstars in the same market but at what expense? the deals like this are what got the system screwed up in the first place and it doesn't seem like the owners have learned their lesson.

agreed. the wild are mild and boring to watch. they don't have the defensemen to play this system well.

I was at the mtu games as well and thought maybe most of his issues were in his conditioning. it's hard to get into game shape when you don't get icetime. obviously, he's got talent so let's hope he can get into a role and contribute to the team. there's still plenty of season left to find a spot in the lineup.

Nobody cared that much about JS because he didn't do anything. I did like 2 years ago when Kozek dropped Scott in the corner with a bone crushing check and proceeded with the puck to beat Teslak like a rented mule. That was so cool, dude. JS might make it in the pros tho....Lemaire likes his game.

That video makes me sick! I love that college players go on to do great things in the NHL but I don't think there's any rush. (J.Taylor, B.Lundbohm, T.Roache, C.Chucko, B.Bochenski, D.Irman, R.Earle,etc..All of them could've played 4 years) I root for all WCHA players while watching the centre ice package and i'm constantly amazed that the guys i've follwed are now contributing at the highest level. But.. I was really irritated from the smug attitude of the Isles broadcast team when talking about snatching a highly-touted college player from the college ranks. they made it seem like it was stealing a NY Yankee free-agent from Boston. This could happen to any Sioux player in the future and believe this is a bad trend to be follwed by others in near future in college hockey.

C'mon guys- Do you really think the players even noticed the feaking announcement....? I'm sure they were more focused on the game adjustments or catching their breath than worrying about what the PA announcer was saying. Let's get some perspective. The only people "offended" were the fans which were the folks it was directed at.

yeah, i'd like to see that too. I keep hearing that Bickel is big and tough. IMO, the definition of big and tough is quite different for each school. For example, Jake Taylor was big and tough but picked Brady Murray to wrestle with in a crowd of much bigger players on the ice. Also, from what I've heard, this might be the least physical Gopher team in many years. you make the call.
