  1. Where is American International anyway?
  2. Would an endowment of $20-30 million provide $2-3 million annually?
  3. He may be right...only time will tell. However...I think everyone is missing the underlying point. Coach Bohl is basically admitting that NDSU football is not as popular as UND hockey.
  4. How much money is needed to solve this half of the equation? (The other half being a DI conference invite...)
  5. There is a small article about the poster in the Star Tribune this morning. Still looking for an online link... EDIT: LINK
  6. In case you still want one... eBay
  7. You can see it here.
  8. After the Sioux sweep the other team...can you do the circle thingy?
  9. I'm not sure I see the resemblance...#33 - Phil Hahn.

  11. REPORT OF THE DIVISION I MANAGEMENT COUNCIL - 16OCT2005 I doubt that the NCAA would force an established DI-A institution to move to DI-AA if attendance requirements were not met...but I am not so sure they would let a DII institution move to DI-A in the same scenario. In 2005, 14 teams had a single-year average home attendance less than 15000.
  12. NCAA Division I Manual - 20.9.6.3 20.9.6.3 Football-Attendance Requirements. [i-A] Once every two years, the institution shall average at least 15,000 in actual or paid attendance for all home football games. (Revised: 4/25/02 effective 8/1/04, 4/28/05 effective 8/1/05) Unless it has been revised once again...
  13. NCAA DI MBB - Attendance 1993-2005 NCAA DI MHockey - Attendance 1998-2004
  14. * sigh * Let me know who wins...
  15. I have sent emails to Red Baron, Schwan's (home delivery customer) and the WCHA. Everyone needs to do the same...
  16. ...Rookie Team! ""I cannot recall the last time a collegiate program was able to come down here and defeat the Twins rookie team. I am very impressed with the confidence that I saw in my guys today. I believe that this is a building block for success for the UND baseball program, because today the team saw that when they are mentally prepared and focused, they can accomplish anything," commented Ziegler." Impressive!
  17. I could swear this topic was brought up once already but I can not find it now... Alerus eyes indoor football - GF Herald I had the opportunity to attend a Bismarck Blaze game a few years ago and had a blast! Very fast and physical play, noisy crowd, loud music, and beer. It would be a great opportunity for graduating seniors to continue their football careers in Grand Forks and add to name recognition for interested fans (ala Danny Grossman with the Sioux Falls Storm). Anyone else been to an arena game?
  18. The MBB team has a looooong way to go before duplicating this feat...congratulations to Montana!
  19. Maybe by his photo?
  20. When does spring practice start?
  21. Done!
  22. I think everyone can agree that it will require a substantial increase in spending for UND to go DI in all programs. There is no guarantee that DI will bring financial / athletic / academic success or failure. Statistically...the odds are 50/50 regarding financial success w/ institutional support and 10/90 (against) w/o institutional support at the DI-AA level. Maybe the current situation dictates UND move despite financial risk...it is not for me to decide.
  23. Page 18 - Figure 8 I interpret this as... "Schools Switching Divisions for All Sports" are on average $1.2 million in the red. "Schools Switching Division for One Sport" are on average $50k in the red.
