What will we do with all the logos if we don't have the name? Would we need to get rid of the logos in 3 years if no agreement is reached? Or could this lead to a name change to "Chippewa" or more generically "Warriors", etc. Does anyone know if the agreement allows us to keep the logo on the uniform if we use a different name?

We've got a judge that has a closet full of Sioux jerseys, we have home "court" advantage, the NCAA was stupid enough to let us have the trial here, and we settle for 3 more years of bickering!! True, we won't know how this will turn out for another 3 years. Things could be great. But at the moment this really surprises me that the settlement is "a cooling off period". What were the last 20 years!

I just got signed in for the first time since the new logo was released. I realize I may not be up for change, but with my first glimpse I thought it was a flower in the hair similar to the flower worn behind the ear in Hawaii. Thus, that added to my initial reaction that it was very feminine looking. Sorry I am not in the "like it" catagory. As a matter of fact I may now be a supporter of changing the Sioux name Of course it was a long weekend, let me look at it again tomorrow.

I ended up getting tickets from a Maine fan who had an extra pair. I guess I will be sitting by them. The good news for me is the tickets are in Section 117.

Keep in mind Doug Woog went to the frozen four 6 times (including his first 4 years as head coach) in his career and didn't win it. I think we have to give Hak some time, but if he doesn't win the big one, who knows what will happen. Since we have averaged a title every 5-6 years since 1980, we are used to it. And it has been 10 years now since our last one. Personally, I'd rather win a title and have a bad year once in a while than go to the playoffs every year and not come home with a championship. Although going to these frozen fours has been a blast. But since we are coming home with #8 in a couple weeks, this point will be moot. Added point: Of course I wanted Woog to be the coach forever because I felt they would never win it with him there. While I do think we can with Hak.

I agree although I never can bring myself to do that. Something about tickets in hand makes me feel better. So with that said, I am looking for 2 lower bowl tickets.

I ended up getting a room at the Hampton Inn- Near the Arch for $101 night. It is about 6 blocks further from the arena than where UND charter is staying. It's rated #4 out of 80-some on Tripadvisor.com. Now, to get tickets to the games!

Does anyone know when we will know what sections UND fans will be getting for the block tickets from the NCAA? I would like to sit closer to the Sioux faithful if possible rather than sitting by the opponents like I did in Columbus. I tried calling the ticket office and they are just taking messages at this point.

Wow. We were up by 5 and had them defensively down to 1 or 2 seconds on the shot clock. They make a tough 3 pointer and it has been quickly down hill since. I hope I 'm wrong but I think the hole we are in is too deep. Go Sioux!!

I think they try to seed: Region 1: 1v16, 8v9 Region 2: 2v15, 7v10 Region 3: 3v14, 6v11 Region 4: 4v13, 5v12 If that is the case, we (at number 10 with .003 bonus) would be in Notre Dame's (#2) bracket. We would get BU in game 1. We wouldn't get Minn. until the national championship game since region 2v3 and region 1v4

They do, but if you are not a season ticket holder or current student it is almost impossible to get. I know season ticket holders that could not get tickets last year because they were not up high enough on the list. But, it shouldn't be a problem to get tickets. A couple of years ago, I decided Friday morning to go to the Championship game in Columbus. I checked different message boards, found tickets in about a half hour, booked my flight, and flew to Columbus Saturday morning. While there, other folks were selling tickets also.
