Gino won 3 Natty's but he ultimately got the ax after some down years in the 90s. Blaiser did it about right; got out after 10 years, 2 titles and the team was still at the top. Hakstol was probably the one who doesn't get enough credit; 7 Frozen fours in 11 years but ultimately no natty. When Philly came calling with a dump truck full of money who could blame him for leaving? B-rad has had some bad luck with the Covid year cancellation and the 5 OT loss to Duluth after they basically got a pass into the regional final due to that bunch of a$$holes from Michigan. Also the BU loss in Fargo looms large. Those were some pretty good teams that could have done more damage but ultimately didn't. The current streak of one and done in the NCAA's or missing it altogether along with some conference quarterfinal road series definitely raises questions as to the direction of the program. I'm pretty sure Brad knows they aren't having a great year but is remaining positive to try get a spark going into the playoffs. Guessing he will come back no matter what happens the remainder of this season, but he knows the results outside of NCHC play haven't been up to par the past few years.

Well, for the first time in a long time I tuned in late for the Sioux game and only watched for about 10 minutes. Seeing how UND was playing I decided to watch the Moorhead-Stillwater 2A final instead. I think I made the right choice. No home playoffs and it's not looking like that Fargo regional will have any home flavor to it. Maybe they should have focussed on the Penrose more; at least then we would have had a shot at the NCAA's.

St Cloud is in a tough spot financially; they recently scaled back the number of programs offered. Wouldn't be surprised if they continued in their downward trend.

The public schools definitely recruit as well…except maybe Edina. Their youth program is so strong I’m not sure they need to recruit.
