As Hoffner was just hired in January, I would guess they are able to reopen the search and jump through a few less hoops than they (or we) had to do the first time around.

It was rather obvious that, once a press conference was scheduled, he was returning to Mankato. I would sure think that would be an uncomfortable situation - for all involved!

I certainly hope you are correct but I don't foresee us finishing in the top 1/2 of the conference next year.

Bird is 5'5" - don't remember any college WRs that size. Daniel has nice RB size - 5'11", 215.

That certainly tells the whole story. I agree - he can't go back to Mankato. He needs to stay in Minot and collect some extra $ from MSU.

Five days away from NLI day! Is anyone hearing anything about who UND is hoping to sign?

A little info about these two: Joe Woods, 6'3", 240, OL from Fertile Brock Robbins, 6'3", ?, Cavalier One source listed his weight at 180 for basketball, another had him at 225 for FB. Not sure what is correct. If anyone can provide some insight, please post. He was all-state at RB but probably played LB as well.

I am surprised (and concerned) that there has been no indication who we are hoping to sign (other than Arroyo, Iduwe and maybe Barnaba). In today's age of blogs and other social media, most of this activity is public knowledge. Plus, with our having three scholarships available and a great need at the 4 & 5, you would think we would have offers out to 4-5 prospects. Hopefully, we do and we will all be excited when April 16th arrives!

Blackmon, one of the CBs, has nice size for a corner - 6', 190.

We have offered Fred Iduwe, 6'11", 220 - originally from Nigeria. Played prep ball at St. Johns NW Military Academy. He also has an offer from Green Bay. ***** Additional information: Iduwe has only played BB for three years - two at Central Park HS in AL and this last year at St. Johns Prep. Very athletic and can run all day long but very limited offensively so far. This "project" could turn out to be a great "get" for someone. He is visiting Georgia this weekend and Memphis visited him yesterday. The Gophers are also showing some interest in him. I had never heard of St. Johns Prep but they have turned out some very good players - one recently was Lawrence Alexander, SU's PG.

Does anyone know if Hannah Stewart, the all-state 6'2" BB player from Minot Ryan, is the daughter of former UND BB letterwinner, John Stewart? I think he lives in Minot. She is apparently very good and just a junior. If she is DI material, it would be nice to have an inside track on landing her.

2014 and 2015 VB Recruiting have been added to Wiki. Let me know if I have any of the commitments, their positions, etc. incorrect as well as any other players we are interested in.

I assume you are meaning multiple "UND" coaches? While we sure may be looking at them, the closest of these nine kids lives in TX. Swenson, the QB from Austin, will be a 2016 recruit.

Is that a "wishful" question or do you have some inside info?
