  1. Glad to hear they have arrived this early - let us know how they look if you see them "in action".
  2. I hope the great guys over at SFI don't mind my posting this. Wiki has been undated with this along with quite a bit of other new info: UND recently held their first of two One-Day Elite Camps. Many of the attendees were potential targets in the Class of 2015 and 2016. There were a total of 120 players there from 10 states and 1 Canadian province. We verified that they offered the following players following the camp: Elijah Grady – New Town, ND. 6’3″-250 Zack Williams – Winnipeg, MB. 6’6″-260 Carl Engwall – Lakeville, MN. 6’4″-230 It is apparent that the new staff is getting into Canada much more than the previous staff did. We have been doing some digging and here are a few names of players that UND has been in contact with: Graydon Campbell – Greely, Ontario Jakob Butler – Sherwood Park, Alberta Colton Hunchak – Calgary, Alberta - See more at: http://siouxfb.areavoices.com/2014/06/26/a-wr-signing-and-more/#comment-12826
  3. New offer to an OG from Denver: Tony Bello, 6'4", 290, Bear Creek HS Has offers from NMS, UNC, USD & SDSU
  4. We are really expanding our recruiting range! These appear to be two pretty talented kids: PF Koontz, 6'10", 220, Enid, OK. Has offers from Lehigh, Santa Clara, MT St, Oral Robert (offered last October) & USD. I couldn't find year-end stats for Blackmon but he was averaging about 20 p/p halfway through last season. He is apparently a very baseball player as well. SF Blackmon, 6'6", 210, Layton, UT. Has an offer from Montana. Averaged 16 points and 11 rebounds as a junior. That is a bunch of rebounds for a SF!
  5. He should be available right away but will also apply for a 6th year as he did not play at all last year due to a leg injury (and getting kicked off the team). A 6'1", 175 PG/SG, he averaged 20 minutes and 5.6 pts as a sophomore at NMSU. He averaged 14 pts as a senior at Onate HS in Las Cruses, NM. He looks very good on You Tube - he can jump and has a good shoot!
  6. jj - you are on a roll, thanks for the update! A 5'11" PG - nice size! She is playing for the Minnesota Fury this summer. Smart kid - 4.0 GPA. I also notice that Hannah Stewart, the 6'2" C/F from Minot Ryan, is playing for the North Tarton 17u elite team - normally one of the powers in AAU ball in the Cities.
  7. In AAU ball this summer, they have him listed at 6'8", 195. Having an offer from Bradley (and others) tells us he must be quite talented.
  8. Wiki has been updated with quite a few more offers (by other schools to kids we are considering). Not surprisingly, NDSU has offered Ty Brooks.
  9. I will welcome you as well - even though I live in Florida! I sincerely hope your son will enjoy his days at UND - I am sure that he will. I also hope he plays an integral role in our advancing to the playoffs in the next couple of years!
  10. As expected, Steve Grabowski has been promoted. Jeff Horner will replace him as Director of BB Operations. Horner was coaching HS in Des Moines. That, combined with the resume below, should sure assist in our recruiting efforts in IA! Horner was a four-year starter for the Hawkeyes and capped his career by being named the Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player in 2006 when Iowa defeated Ohio State in the title game. He ended his run in Iowa City as the program’s all-time leader in assists (612) and 3-pointers made (262). Horner’s 1,506 career points are just outside the program’s Top 10 list. He prepped at Mason City High School for his father, Bob, and was named Iowa’s Mr. Basketball in 2006.
  11. New offer: SG Trevor Stumpe, averaged 15 ppg for Plainfield HS, Plainfield IL. Has offers from NIU & UIC.
  12. A couple of updates on kids we have offered: PG Jared Dixon has received an offer from MO St SG JT Gibson has received an offer from LaSalle PF Brady Ernst finished second in the high jump (6'6") in Iowa state meet
  13. Lots of activity - Wiki will be updated in the AM.
  14. It is not appropriate to use mention Tom Clifford and Chapman in the same sentence!!
  15. I see we are again looking at Oscar Opara, the CB out of De LaSalle who went the JC route out of HS.
  16. If so, that would likely mean that no one else has interest in him. This is June, he wouldn't likely be waiting for a decision on Nash (which may not be made anytime soon) if he had other options. Probably not a good sign!
  17. UND 92,96 Posted 19 March 2014 - 12:57 PM I'm not sure whether this was previously posted or not, but another UND recruit, Josie Buckley, suffered a scary injury this season: http://www.leadertel...1a4bcf887a.html I know the article indicates that she still plans to play college basketball, but considering the severity and nature of the injury, I have to think her status may be in question. ****** I see that Buckley is participating in track this spring. I hope this means she is making a full recovery!
  18. Wiki has been updated - nothing major, just a few additional prospects in which we have an interest plus some new offers (from other schools).
  19. Our ladies are going to play in the Pre-Season NIT this fall. First Big Sky team to be invited since 2009 - very cool!
  20. I wouldn't argue with any of your projections. There certainly are a bunch of new names!

    I don't know but I doubt it.

Our softball coach, Eric Oakley, resigned today. I wondered if he was pressured or if he just realized what a huge task it is putting a competitive team on the field. Yes, I know SU has a very good program but let's not get into that conversation here like we do in all the other sports!!
  23. Wiki has been updated. I am going ot start listing sources of offers (and commitments). Hambone - Rogers' offer is in Rivals. Where did you learn of the Hill offer - Edgy? Does anyone remember the source of the offer to Brooks (Fargo South)?
  24. New offer: OG Jordan Steckler, 6'5", 290, Two Rivers (Two Rivers), WI
  25. Johannesson received his offer from NDSU today. Surprised that hadn't happened before now!
