I made this comment in sort of a negative manner last week but we are now up to 16 offers (that we know about). After thinking about this, I don't have a problem with this many offers in that I assume we are sitting down with these kids, enlightening them about UND, etc. That is much different than readily offering scholarships to FB players you haven't met yet (other than maybe a phone call). It appears we are going after some talented prospects based upon the level of interest from other DI programs. Hopefully, we can land a few and then continue to get a couple of talented freshmen each year.

I agree - there must be some new connection to CA. I hope these kids give us serious consideration - ND is a long way from home!
-
It is sure nice to see that 240 wt.- we need to find some big bangers at the PF position. He is listed at 6'9", 250 on some sites. Averaged 15 and 10 as a junior.
-
Two more offers to CA kids: PG Quinton Adlesh, 6', 185, San Luis Obispo (Mission College Prep), CA Has offers from Army, UNC, Penn & Cal Poly. Must be a bright kid - numerous Ivy League schools looking at him. He was the league MVP last year averaging 22 pts, 5 rbds & 5 assists. Some sources have him as a shooting guard - averaging 22/game he probably is a SG. SF Nick Pete, 6'8", 185, Hemet (Tahquitz), CA No other known offers. He is listed anywhere from 6'6" to 6'8" and from 185 to 210 lbs depending on the source.

How are some of the new kids looking?
-
Great news - and I would think he will have a better season after having a couple years in the program. I hope he has worked on his FT shooting throughout the summer!

New offer: SF Levi Bradley, 6'5", 170, Milwaukee (Pius XI). Has offers from USD, Green Bay & The Citadel Edit: Bradley averaged 17 as a sophomore and just under 20 last year. All sorts of different heights/weights for him. One has him at 6'7", 185.
-
Another new offer: PF Tyler Seibring, 6'8", 225, Towanda (Normal Community HS), IL First offer but Bradley, Loyola and SDSU are interested. Sounds like a very good o/s shooter. Averaged 15 ppg for a very good team last year.

Jim - I have been trying to update Wiki with some recruiting info for the last few days but I continue to get the below message (using 2-3 different computers). Is the problem at my end or with Wiki? Thanks! The webpage cannot be found HTTP 404 Most likely causes: There might be a typing error in the address. If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.

I have tried to confirm this offer but have had no luck. As Scout still reflects an offer from us, I will revise Wiki. However, I bet you are correct and that he has not been offered.
-
I noticed Lehigh had a couple of offers out to prospects we have offered so I looked at their recruiting info. They have 21 offers out for next year with another four offerees opting to go elsewhere in the last week or so. They must be offering anyone that looks halfway decent! Almost like our FB recruiting prior to this last class!
-
Agree - looks like a talented coach. He took a leave of absence from his Valpo duties on April 27 and did not return to the team. There is no word as to why he left the team - hope he doesn't have "baggage"!
-
McKinley has picked up an offer from USD. Other offerees have also picked up more offers - Wiki has been updated.
-
New offer per Scout: CB KiAnte Hardin, 5'10", 155, 4.7, Webb City (Webb City), MO Has offers from Tulsa, Toledo, UMN, Bowling Green, Ball St & Austin Peay. This kid must have some talent - weighs only 155 and isn't that fast but lots of offers! **** Edit **** Just checked him out in 247, they have him at 165 with 4.44 speed. He also has offers from E IL, Murray St, MO St & UNI.

Glad to hear they have arrived this early - let us know how they look if you see them "in action".

I hope the great guys over at SFI don't mind my posting this. Wiki has been undated with this along with quite a bit of other new info: UND recently held their first of two One-Day Elite Camps. Many of the attendees were potential targets in the Class of 2015 and 2016. There were a total of 120 players there from 10 states and 1 Canadian province. We verified that they offered the following players following the camp: Elijah Grady – New Town, ND. 6’3″-250 Zack Williams – Winnipeg, MB. 6’6″-260 Carl Engwall – Lakeville, MN. 6’4″-230 It is apparent that the new staff is getting into Canada much more than the previous staff did. We have been doing some digging and here are a few names of players that UND has been in contact with: Graydon Campbell – Greely, Ontario Jakob Butler – Sherwood Park, Alberta Colton Hunchak – Calgary, Alberta - See more at: http://siouxfb.areavoices.com/2014/06/26/a-wr-signing-and-more/#comment-12826

New offer to an OG from Denver: Tony Bello, 6'4", 290, Bear Creek HS Has offers from NMS, UNC, USD & SDSU

We are really expanding our recruiting range! These appear to be two pretty talented kids: PF Koontz, 6'10", 220, Enid, OK. Has offers from Lehigh, Santa Clara, MT St, Oral Robert (offered last October) & USD. I couldn't find year-end stats for Blackmon but he was averaging about 20 p/p halfway through last season. He is apparently a very baseball player as well. SF Blackmon, 6'6", 210, Layton, UT. Has an offer from Montana. Averaged 16 points and 11 rebounds as a junior. That is a bunch of rebounds for a SF!
-
He should be available right away but will also apply for a 6th year as he did not play at all last year due to a leg injury (and getting kicked off the team). A 6'1", 175 PG/SG, he averaged 20 minutes and 5.6 pts as a sophomore at NMSU. He averaged 14 pts as a senior at Onate HS in Las Cruses, NM. He looks very good on You Tube - he can jump and has a good shoot!
-
jj - you are on a roll, thanks for the update! A 5'11" PG - nice size! She is playing for the Minnesota Fury this summer. Smart kid - 4.0 GPA. I also notice that Hannah Stewart, the 6'2" C/F from Minot Ryan, is playing for the North Tarton 17u elite team - normally one of the powers in AAU ball in the Cities.
-
In AAU ball this summer, they have him listed at 6'8", 195. Having an offer from Bradley (and others) tells us he must be quite talented.
-
Wiki has been updated with quite a few more offers (by other schools to kids we are considering). Not surprisingly, NDSU has offered Ty Brooks.
-
I will welcome you as well - even though I live in Florida! I sincerely hope your son will enjoy his days at UND - I am sure that he will. I also hope he plays an integral role in our advancing to the playoffs in the next couple of years!
