A game winning goal is credited to the player who scores the goal that ultimately ends up being the "game winner". Lame stat or not it is one that they keep track of. Just like game winning runs in baseball. It's signifigance may not be great, but it is probably one of those stats that just falls more into the "interesting" category. Maybe someone should start keeping stats on how idiot goopher fans come on here and post what they think about meaningless statistics. As far as being misleading, it's almost as misleading as a certain goophers assist statistic's.

It will be good to see #13 back on the ice. He was a part of our playoff run last year, so I think he brings some valuable experience at this time of the season. Go give 'em hell Lee.

Why would anyone want the goophs to go anywhere but here ? Plaiyng them here is a double edged sword, knocking them out of the playoff's in our barn would rule a$$, however there is a down side I don't even want to consider

The only objective opinion you have is he scored more points. I have yet to see any one answer questions I have posed several times. For instance, even though phil led team USA in points at the world juniors, how come he failed to lead them to a medal. And why is it he can rack up points against cupcakes and dissappear against tougher teams. Why do people in the local Twin cities media talk more highly of our two outstanding freshmen than their own. Someone please give me an "objective" answer to these questions, please.
