I don't think I'd say that they're "not trying their hardest" or "conserving energy"...and I don't think that RR was conserving energy at EDC. You can't do that in hockey. However, you can take a team too lightly and South tends to let teams hang on a little too long and plays "down to their competition" at times.

Century is not even in South's class. This is very typical of a Fargo South team...play close to a lesser-skilled team for a while until they get a wake up call...watch what happens here in the 3rd.

Come to think of it, that's probably not too bad because I wouldn't be watching the 2 consolation games tomorrow morning, but I would like to watch today's games.

I agree. It's completely rediculous that this would not be on the radio in Fargo and GF (and Bismarck and Minot and wherever else). I also think that more of it should be on TV...not just the last few games. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the only games on TV the Friday night games (?) and the 3rd place and Championship? 3-2 South after 2.

Yes, you're right...there are good and bad kids on any team. But don't overlook the impact that "Simonsongate" had on the Central hockey team. If you think that the rest of the team could just ignore what happened or 'get over it', you're mistaken. I think what Simonson did really shook that team up. That being said...I'm not sure if they were a top 4 team in the East anyways, but I do think they were better than what their record showed. How they finished the year was disgraceful, and if I'm Tony Bina right now I hold a meeting with all of the returners and let them know that if they think any of that can carry on next year - they won't see any icetime.

I agree with your 2nd point...which is why Alex Simonson will fit in great at RR.

If anybody from the Sioux were to go after Paukovich, it would be Radke...that kid is reckless. I hope they just play hockey and win 2 games...the best way to get back at Paukovich would be to take 4 pts from Denver this weekend, with a goal each night from Robbie! But seriously...Radke is going to end up hurting someone from another team...someone needs to reel that kid in and tell him to just play.

I like your idea, however wouldn't you run into much larger problems with the Federal government? Back when the drinking age was 18 in some states and 21 in others, didn't they (Fed govmn't) basically tell all of the states that were still at 18 that they had to move the drinking age to 21 or they would get major funding cuts? Someone who knows more than me on the subject may have more/better info.

What student sioux fan 22 posted is fairly accurate. How many people really think that Robbie thought the police wouldn't know who he, Toews, and Oshie were, and that they could really "escape"? Nobody? Me either. I'm not saying what Robbie did was smart, but he wasn't helping them "escape". I think the police were damned if they did (making a bigger deal than it should be) and damned if they didn't (why do you let Sioux hockey players get away with this stuff). Robbie will get a slap on the hands, pay a fine, and be done with it - and quite frankly, that's all that should happen, anyways.
