They mention that Oshie is a USHL alum that plays in the NHL. I vaguely remember him playing briefly in the league after his senior year was over....is that how it happened or am I missing a year?

I was teaching 6th grade in Warroad, MN at the time. Russia vs. USA game came on live on Canadian TV at 4:00 P.M., but my wife and I had to head to Mayville,ND for a wedding so I missed it. Heard the score at the top of the hill east of Oslo on I-29 and damn near drove off it. My wife couldn't understand why I was going nuts.
