  1. Read the quote I was quoting and it should not be very hard to figure out. That is unless you have no reading comprehension. I will explain it really ssssllllloooowwwlllyyyyyy for you. Not giving enough money equals lack of donations such as not donating enough to FU. Many posters here and others who call themselves huge fans and wanted to keep the name never give any money either. Now was that easy enough for you to understand?

I think you replied to the wrong comment...

  2. You're just a hothead who advocates vigilantism. You have no credibility whatsoever. Maybe if I met you in person you might be tolerable, but based solely on your online persona you're a joke. That is all. I will enjoy watching the Penguins destroy the Bruins first and foremost because I'm a longtime Pens fan, but because of you and all of your psychotic rants over the years I will enjoy it so much more. Yes, I will take pleasure in your misery because you've been such a jerk to me repeatedly over the years. Karma is coming for you, Goon, and it's coming in the form of your beloved cheap-shotting Bruins having their season ended by Matt Cooke's Penguins.

For someone who bitches about personal attacks all the time, you sure do a lot of it. I have to say I've really enjoyed your time away from this message board. It's was the one and only nice thing about us losing the Sioux nickname.

  3. Really? I guess the slew-foot of Valtteri Filppula courtesy of Andrew Shaw went completely un-noticed by you...

I agree it was a missed call on Filpula and for that matter the penalty shot in game 6. There was a lot missed calls the entire series. I'm sure Toews enjoyed Zetterberg dragging him down the ice as Goon posted on blog. I saw the Redwings do a lot of that all series long to Toews.

  4. Looks like the refs really want the Redwings to win this one. At least Referee #24 does. That dude belongs in the WCHA with calls like that.

That ref has to be pretty relieved after the outcome of Overtime. Hawks win 3-1 in OT.

  5. This reminds me of UND-BC all too many times.....

I was thinking the same thing. I still hate hearing the Colorado Avalanche goal horn. Gives me flashbacks. That was my first Frozen Four I attended.

  6. Anyone else catch what one of the SCSU guys said in the huddle around their goalie, sounded like "every team we've faced in the WCHA is better than these guys"

    I heard a lot of F-bombs

  7. I bought my Nick Fuher jersey (03-04) the first weekend they auctioned jerseys at the Ralph. I got it for only $300. I didn't realize at the time what a deal I got.

  8. From USCHO Dec. 12, 2012 - CCHA Columinst Paula C. Weston

When teams meet in March to play for the Mason Cup one last time, they’ll be doing so on Saturday and Sunday. At first, the Detroit Red Wings had scheduled a Friday night game, forcing the CCHA to seek an alternative to its usual Friday-Saturday schedule. When the NHL decided to pick up its collective puck and go home, the CCHA heard arguments to move the games back to Friday and Saturday, but what was done was done.

“We had to go to the NCAA championship committee to get a one-year exception to playing on Sunday,” Pletsch said. “They also had to get clearance from ESPN to move the selection show.”

That’s correct. The ESPN NCAA hockey championship selection show has been moved to 9 p.m. the Sunday before the NCAA tournament begins all because of the CCHA championship.

“We won’t be able to move it back,” Pletsch said. “TV gets locked in, and the NCAA made it clear that once we had a schedule, we had to keep it.”

Pletsch said that the league considered playing semifinal games on Thursday and the title game on Saturday but said, “If you look at how the Super Six was, you saw that it was difficult to get fans to the rink for Thursday’s games.” The CCHA played a six-team championship tournament, the Super Six, from 2002 to 2005.

There is no third-place game this year, either, since the championship game begins at 2 p.m. that Sunday. “The NCAA told us we had to be done by 4:30,” Pletsch said. “Playing at 2, you can’t have a game at 10 in the morning before that for third place.”

Just find a local arena that seats less than 4000 people. That's about how many fans show up for CCHA tournament.

  9. Hey Uncle_Rico,

I am looking for a picture of JP lamoureux from the 05-06 season in his away jersey, Joe Finley when they wore the 1955 retros against Northeastern. My main goal is to find one from the 02-03 season of Matt Greene when he wore the black jerseys with the Ralph Engelstad memorial patch

    Thanks

I do have a couple of pics of the retro Finley jersey but don't have any JP photos in the away jersey. I can email you ones I have if you would like.

  10. Wow, thanks for the offer Uncle_Rico,

    2006-07 Matt Watkins green

    2007-08 Zach Jones white

I have pictures of both jerseys. PM me your email and I'll send them to you.

I think I have the retro Finley one. I don't think I have the JP one since Parise started the only two away games I saw that year.
