I'm getting season tickets next year as I'm at the top of the waiting list. A lady called last week and said that they would call me against in July about getting them. I would assume that means that current season ticket holders will have until July 1 or so to renew. Though UND probably should send out the applications pretty soon.
I finally got the call too, after waiting over 4 years

Wow, it looks like the reporters were giving the "The Three Stooges" a really hard time with their questions and the Stooges pretty much danced around every one of them. Somebody pitch a tent over this circus.

Two examples of North Dakota's bizarre obsesion with their rivals:
1) Two words: Holy Cross. I'd expect Sioux fans to be happy to see the Gophers lose, but the level of enthusiasm over this game is beyond belief. Very SCSU and Duluth like of them.
2) North Dakota State's victory over Wisconsin in men's basketball. The petty jealousy throughout the Grand Forks city limits due to the national exposure that NDSU received from that win was very strange, to say the least. But if UND fans could just for once take off their green and white glasses and realize that not everything is about them, they'd see that people around the country didn't think twice about ND's little Div. II college up in grand Forks when talking about the NDSU/UW b-ball upset.

I know that I will probably get flamed for saying this, but I absolutely loved the way that Irmen played. I loved the passion, speed, and skill (and even the Jersey pop). I loved it a bit more when he wasn't playing the Sioux. I however don't see him having success in the NHL, because everyone is bigger and faster, I hope I am wrong, but I wish him the best of luck.
I agree with what you said accept for the jersey pop. I just don't like taunting of any kind whether it is in college hockey or any other sport or whether it is a Sioux or Gopher player. I loved the way Barry Sanders played football (which I probably shouldn't be saying since I'm a Viking fan). He played with heart and passion but when he got to the endzone, he always acted like he'd been there before and planned on being there again. I remember seeing a poster of him that had a list of all the accomplishments he had during his career it read something like this:

99 TD's
5.0 yards per carry
76 total 100-yard rushing games
Tied for NFL record for total 1,000-yard rushing seasons

Do you have any of the Gophers crying on the ice? I couldn't get to my camera before they got it together enough to shake hands.
I tried to take a few pics of the Gophers and the end of the game but they turned out blurry because I was laughing too hard. I'm not kidding.

I should be able to take a few shots per game from my new found home 302. I picked section 302 over 303 and 306 since the netting behind the goals makes it really difficult to shoot photos through. I'm just hoping the netting won't get in the way of shooting Diggler in section 306
