overheard a student at the hockey game ask another student if he voted yet...he said he did the first two times but aint voting this time....One less for FH????
I would say it probably was someone who voted Nokaks twice and doesn't care which of the last two get voted in. Just my guess.

If UND plays like they did against Wyo, NDSU by 3 touchdowns. If they play like they did against Drake, NDSU by 6 touchdowns. Wyoming just got killed by a historically awful Eastern Michigan team. That was Eastern's first non conference road win in about 30 years. That is an Eastern Michigan that would finish in the bottom half of the Missouri Valley FC. Wyoming may not win a game this year.
I agree. Wyoming sucks and their coach doesn't know his a$$ from a hole in the ground. He's taken they from bad to worse.

Agree. I've been to a number of games there in the past. Their fanbase seems to be a mix of natives with no clue about hockey, and transplants who know more about the game. However, they tend to be vocal and pretty loyal. And downtown Nashville can be a lot of fun.
I was also at a Predators game two months ago and was surprised by the fan base. Not sure what it's like during a down year. Did run into at least three Sioux fans! However, I've been to 13 NHL arenas and have always run into at least one Sioux fan so I wasn't totally surprised.

I've been a Viking fan since the age of 5 and have learned to not get my hopes too high so 2009-10 didn't affect me like years prior. After the Darrin Nelson drop in the corner of the end zone in the 1987 NFC championship game followed by the 1998 gong show, and then the NY Giant beat down in 2000, I keep myself pretty grounded with low expectations. The 2010 NFC title game I metally prepared myself all week for a big letdown. The Vikings didn't disappoint...

I don't think 2 point conversions can be returned in the NFL like in college.

One of the worst games was January 21, 2011 against Omaha. Down 7-1 after the second period.
One of the best was October 17, 2003 against Boston College. Sioux scored 4 goals in the 3rd to win 6-4.

Yes, good ones. I can't place which district though. If I had to guess, I'd say Mott and Regent were district-mates of Elgin and New Leipzig.
Mott and Regent played district tournaments in Bowman in the 80s and early 90s. Not sure what district that was.

I didn't mean to hijack the girls' b-ball "Catholic" game coming up this season but it really got me thinking about the glory days of Class B sports in North Dakota, especially boys' basketball. Going off of memory, here's my short list of old district and region teams from yester-year...
Old District 29 in Region 8:

Maybe because it showed the typical attitude that most native North Dakotans have towards Native Americans? It was not meant as a put down to Native Americans. It was a put down to white male Americans showing their level of ignorance. That is what makes it funny.

You are incorrect, which comes as no surprise to me considering your personal track record. I have never complained about a knee on knee hit and I never will regardless of who does it to who. I am consistent in my views, which I have proven by referencing the Ovechkin/Gonchar example.

A Penguin was injured as a result of this hit, and the guy who delivered the hit is on par with Lucic in terms of being unlikable to me. Yet I have no problem with the hit. Now go wipe the egg off your face, Uncle_Rico, because as usual you do not have a clue what you're talking about.
Maybe if you saw it in HD you could have seen the play more clearly...
