Even with ND, the NCHC wouldn't even come close to the media coverage for the BTHC or HE. This is a media no-man's land compared to those markets. Lol @ the "big TV money" for the NCHC.
UND should have stayed in the WCHA. (they see that now) But their insane jealousy of Minnesota's move to the premiere hockey conference in the country, enticed UND to want something (possibly) better. UND has created quite a mess. Did you people really think that UND and the NCHC had the wherewithal to grab ND? Most people knew better...
Why would they want to stay with the bottom feeders of the current WCHA? It's better to only have one conference turd (St Cloud) than about 5 of them.

The Fighting Sioux have 7 national titles. A potential national championship won by a team of a different name in the future would be the 1st championship for that team. To give the new team credit for those 7 national championships won by the Sioux would be an insult to the Sioux legacy in my opinion.
Your comparison is not even close. A better comparison would be the Washington Bullets and the Washington Wizards...same team.

why would we schedule und when we already play one or two patsies a year. we already schedule st. francis, wagner, and the likes and beat them by 30+ every year. what would scheduling another patsy win do for us? just sayin.

It was clearly a goal on HDTV. All evidence and visuals point this being a legit goal. If you really take your time to watch all the angles a couple times, you can piece together where the puck is when out of sight, but there IS visual evidence, even in the overhead cam, that the puck was completely beyond the line.
It was the right call....a tough call, but the right one.

I agree in the case of the Sioux nickname, if the majority on the reservations support the nickname then the tribal councils should support it and negotiations on 30 year contracts should be allowed to commence.
But, of course, then you swung totally to the opposite side of the spectrum and are way out of line by proclaiming that the majority can never be wrong and that the minority might be ignored in all cases.
Utterly ridiculous and I'm quite thankful we don't live in that world! Just imagine if the majority decided it would be best to bulldoze your house for the better good of the community so they could build a park, or something along those lines.
Minority and even individuals have rights that must be recognized for a proper society.

BC was 3-12 at Thanksgiving time last year? That is crazy.
They only won three of their first twleve games. They tied five, won three, and lost three. The stat from that link is a little misleading since they were actually at .500 at Thanksgiving time.

I'm glad you like the pics! I use a Canon Power Shot. It's digital camera with 5.0 MP. My season tickets are at the very top of section 302 so it is pretty difficult to shoot from way up there but the telephoto lens I have in pretty good.

I do have a few more shots of the crowd. I usually take at least 10 shots of the crowd (always the student section) during each game and post the best two on SS. I did take some pictures during the ceremonies but they didn't turn out that well.

It's obvious NDSU misses UND more than UND misses NDSU. I've haven't heard any anti-Bison chants at any UND games since the last Sioux/Bison football game in 2003. They just can't seem to let the rivalry go. To be honest, it's kind of creepy. Like an ex-girlfriend/boyfriend that just can grasp that fact it is over.
