I beg to differ. The character assasination perpetrated by certain fans of the maroon and gold is the reason I address his philantrophy. Unlike a KKK philantropist, if there is such a thing, Ralph did not designate his contributions to only a certain color, class, type of person, or one with particular political affiliations. His philantrophy was not in response to the reaction from people who are upset at his Hitler party. His philantrophy preceded that so there is not now nor was there then any contributions made by the Engelstads as a means to "atone for bigotry, hatred and prejudice". His philantrophy, IMHO, is further evidence that he is not a Hitler loving, Jew hating bigot as expounded by fans of the marron and gold.

I doubt that the recipients of the 2000 wheel chairs Ralph donated to North Dakota citizens were returned because of Ralph's bad taste in party themes. Watching TJ on the ice after the HC win, showed me what a great kid he is. As they announced the games MVPs, etc., he was grinning ear to ear as the names were announced, he patted his teammates on the back, shoulder, etc. and acted as pleased for them as if he had won the award. If this is what the youngsters who see him as a role model to aspire to, there's no need to look further that TJ Oshie. TJ is a great player and a great team player. His stats are proof of that. Because of his youth, I didn't think Toews would jump to the NHL this year BUT after watching his clip at the combine, I'm not so sure. That kid is BUFF, he looks like he could take on those 20/30 + yr old veterans. The maturity he's shown on and off the ice also concerns me. He acts a lot older than most 18 yr olds. I hope I'm wrong and he decides he needs another year of growth before he leaves for the big time.

The Frozen Four is second only to BB in attendance and earned revenue in NCAA championships. Not bad for just a handful of schools competing. The way you talk the FF is held in the Fargo Dome with only the teams' parents in attendance.
