How about the cities area...any idea what restaurant/bar will be carrying the game. ANY feedback on that would be much appreciated. Thanks -
Yea, about Lee...when you see that no one works with Chorney on the PP the way he did you'll realize it sucks he's gone. And don't say Bina- it's not close. Cuz i'm pretty sure i saw Finley out on the PP at one point last night and lets face it- that should never happen

Why does DaveK feel a need to take issue and have a subsequent argument with anyone who opposes him? It seems like he has an inferiority complex or something...

They played Manitoba....i just pray we all keep this in context. Many things were there to be happy with, dont get me wront...but Manitoba was just awful last night and i dont know how many people noticed that. They couldn't get the puck out of their zone, and not because of the forecheck, but because they just couldn't. Their pp was awful and again not because of our killing. Not to mention they were tired and it looked it. For instance the goal kozek scored when he poked it around that guy. Apparently checking was optional because in any WCHA game he would have been down on the ground. We just can't get to high off this one guys but its a great great place to start. Now lets see what happens next saturday because it will be a damn fun one to watch and it will be fun to see them play a real team!

Red River beats Century in the final, 4-1.
-
South loses to Century today, 4-1.
-
Red River won today 5-0, no surprise. Something that doesn't show up in the team box score is that Michael Kraft beat McGuigan again (2nd time in the day) in the individual competition 6-3, 6-0. This really puts South in a tough spot for state, as they will also have to get through Bis. Century.
-
Red River takes the dual 7-2.
-
Are you guys seriously arguing about someone calling people names? Wow, maybe you should all grow up...what will this argument prove?
-
You took way too much time on something that he'll never read.
-
100% yes. I was pulling for Devils Lake to pull out the win, not only for the program, but also to show that there is another solid team in the East. They have some great players and this showing at state will only increase the progress their program is making.

Pat Arnason did NOT make the All-State team...done laughing?...done yet?...ok here we go. Best GAA, save % and W/L and doesn't make it. They should just stop the voting.

All I can do is laugh at your post, Cia. I agree with knowsall's post about Red River kids being disgraced by a few bad apples. Now, regarding the "incident"...the lastest I can think of this happening is around 2001. Am I surprised at this? No, not really, but you're singling out one person in an isolated incident that happened at least five years ago. I would be VERY suprised to see this incident happening with a Red River hockey player on this years team. They haven't had any "incidents" so to speak, while Central is known as one of the most undisciplined teams in the state. You made it sound like this is an everyday occurance at Red River, and within athletics at the school. That is flat out wrong.

I heard Grand Forks' own Eddie Durpson is going to work at the Argus Leader the week of March 19-23. Should be interesting (to say the least) to see how that one turns out.
-
I think some of this comes from the gap between the top teams and everyone else. But I would say Devils Lake is an example of an average hockey team, if I had to pick one.
-
By "only win of the year" do you really mean "one of nine wins"?
-
They can't really be a dark horse when everyone knows that they're one of the top 3 teams in the State. I don't think it would surprise anyone here if they won it.
-
Right, because Grand Forks teams get in SO many fights when they lose games.
-
Yes
-
Look at the prospective match-ups. Tell me whose road you'd rather go down, and 10 times out of 10 you'll say Red River's.
-
I seem to remember Red River beating South 8-0 this season too. To say that South will beat Grafton 8-2 again would take a perfect storm of South playing great and Grafton playing awful. Needless to say, I doubt this will happen.
-
South's road to the championship: #4 West, Grafton Red River's: #3 West, DL/Bis. High. I've already penciled RR in for Saturday night, South/Grafton is a toss up.
-
South beats RR 2-1 in a game that the teams would be better off if they lost.
-
Defense, optional.
