I don't like seeing any of the young players leave school for Tier 1 or theNHL. We all know it will happen when you recruit the best players. Reading the stuff on USCHO, it sounds like it was a academic issue.

I am glad the rest of the nation is finally getting it figured out. Now all we have to do is get the West reegional changed next year so we won't have to go on the road.

Times change, change with them or get left behind. When Brooks was coaching Minnesota got 99.9% of all the Minnesota kids they wanted. They came right from High School. Now ther are 5 div. 1 schools in the state and most kids do't go to div. 1 from HS. We may, ok we are arragont but most Gopher fans would not want to go back to recruiting only Minnesota kids. We have more NC to win and it is fun getting the Grand Fork and Madison faithfull upset when you take one of there boys away from them. Just like when we loose good player to the other teams. Tell me you don't enjoy have Mr Mn. Hockey going to UND next year. Good luck tonight and take becky out.

No whining from me. I already travel to many Big 10 venues for BB and Football. I would love to go to Chicago to see a big ten Hockey tourney.

I long for the day when Minnesota goes into the big ten conferance for Hockey. Lets see how well your WCHA tourney draws then

Get over it. Nanne and Somner went as friends of the family. They just happen to have ties with the U. They had known Zach all of his life, Lucia had nothing to do with it.

This is three nice pick ups for you guys. The Mr. Hockey award is still a big deal, but not what it use to be. To many kids playing on the USNDT and in the USHL.

How many a** whoopings did ZP receive while in the WCHA. Not many if any. You can't whoop what you can't catch.

Sioux are not in the running for one of the big reasons ZP ended up being a Sioux. Ice size. ZP wanted to play on NHL size sheet and PK wants to play on the big sheet.

I know you don't care about Gopher stories, but this fits into this threat. Last Friday in St. Clown, before the game starts the St. Clown fans start chanting Overrated. Then Minnesota goes on to sweep them. I thought the overrated chant was held back until you defeated a team that was ranked higher than your team.

Frazee is coming in to back up Briggs for next season. That should be an okay 1-2 punch.

I can't wait to see these same fans from Cities when the Gophers hit a snag and finally face some adversity in their season. Briggs has crumbled a few times in the third period as he game up: two goals to the Sioux in their first game, two goals in fridays game in the third period, as well as 7 goals against Denver in the third periods during their series three weeks ago in Denver. Eventually Briggs won't be able to stop a beach ball, the goals will stop going in and there will be pandamonia in Goofer land. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

IMO it is some of the same game calling that we have had in the WCHA forever. Call the game close in the early part of the game and let most things go in the third period. It would be nice to see some 5 on 5 hockey in the 1st period at some point this year.

2 of Ca. goals were empty net. I guess you can't blame the goalie for those.

Sid on a good day does not know what he is talking about. If it happens to be Texas Tech BB with his close friend Bobby I might belive him. When it come to anything to do with Hockey, just ignore him.

We have not had good luck recruiting the Breck kids. Seems most of them go out East. BC has two of them on their team now. Minnesota will go after him hard, but we will have to wait and see.
