I agree...the name Joe Philippi should be a name people keep on their watch list, even though he's from the cities....he was very impressive.

Great Head Coach????Tony Bina? Correct me if I'm mistaken, but isn't this only like his third year of coaching...what has he done to make you think hes a great head coach?

The preliminary rankings for next years draft have Zach Jones as something like the 5th overall NCAA Skater in the draft for the NHL preliminary rankings.

Honestly I think Zach Jones has a very good chance of being on the team, considering he is highly rated for next years' draft already.

You can put a question mark by Toews also. Most people on national chat boards(hfboards.com) feel he is too young and there are other better players then him, so most feel he is on the bubble, therefore I would put the question marks by him. I also figure that Finley has no chance of getting on the team. There are too many good players to have him on there it would seem. He hasn't really stood out defensively yet, so I guess I don't think he'll be on there. Jones, Chorney, Lee, and Oshie definetely all have a very good chance.

Just curious about you thinking that Century and Jamestown are the two worst teams in the state. I think you might be forgetting Bottineau or Wahpeton? Just curious as to if you forgot those teams or if you truly believe they are the two worst teams in the state?

Excellent post, thanks for the great insight. God I hope the thing I put in bold is a joke, otherwise I don't really know what to say. If he was better than Oshie as a junior, then what on earth will he do this year?? Thanks NDPride...answered all of my questions fairly and honestly, i like that. I don't know too much about any teams in high school hockey this year because everyone lost so many players, so i guess i like to compare how teams are in each conference. I haven't heard of that DVD, but I am in love with crosby. He is so dang good I love it, and to think he could be on one of the high school teams in north dakota this year. haha thats just crazy.

From what I have read of your posts...you are extremely knowledgeable about high school hockey. So I was just curious about your take on how much better the east is than the west? You say you expect South to dominate Bismarck, but I kinda thought bismarck was always one of the better teams in the west...or is South just that good? What kind of gap do you see this year, and what kind of scoreline do you expect for the game, just so i can see how the best in the east compares to one of the better in the west. Thanks in advance.

I suggested Kozek for that same reason. All of the scouting reports say he can score, so let's see it Andrew. We definetely dont need another set up guy on that line, we alreayd have 2 very good ones, we need a bochenski(i think kozek could do it) on that line.

I think that either Watkins or Kozek could give it a shot. When Watkins played with Zajac and Stafford on friday for a bit they created some very very good chances. And Kozek is a good goalscorer, a very good skater, and a good setup man, so maybe him? I don't think Prpich would be right for the line, as him, fabian, and kaip should not be broken apart because they are the ultimate checking line. And we know that Toews, Oshie, and Porter have been playing very well, so leave them be. Kozek would probably be my choice.

Honestly how did they not call UNH for holding on that one. That was much worse then some of the other things they called early in the game.
